Played this guitar in a local store. Couldn't put it down. the neck on this guitar is amazing. Flat wide and fast. The action was great. I love the finish on this guitar, although it looks too dark in low light. I bought it that day. I prefer playing this guitar to my more expensive guitars all day long. Very light compared to my Les Paul which I am actually enjoying. Well done Ibanez, Im a convert.

Having sold a Gibson LP Custom and a Studio years back (deep regrets), I wanted a mahogany/humbucker combo. Since my budget was much lower than when living at home in my teens, I took a gamble on something off-shore. How American-made instruments at $2600+ can compete with Ibanez, I'll never know. The neck is thin but round (SG-ish), perfectly finished, not sticky like a Gibson, and it supports low action. No glue around the markers, no protruding fret edges, and nicely finished binding. The body is light, but still very warm in tone. Ibanez kept  it to two pieces, as opposed to "cheaping out" with a "pancake" body. I found the pickups to be a little too hot (not noisy, though), but lowering the height was an easy fix. It now has a more natural, woody tone. The top is a nicely figured wine-red, albeit not as attractive as, say, a Carvin. It's also not as over-the-top flashy and cheap looking as some Schecters and LTD's. My only small gripe would be the plastic nut, but that's easily replaced. I own or have owned many of the more expensive instruments out there (Amer. Fenders, Gibsons, Carvins, Rickenbackers, etc.), and have played for 22 years. I know I won't convince someone in the market for a new Gibson to look here, but to everyone else: please don't overlook this astonishing value!

There is no way I will ever own an Epi LP Custom. This Ibanez ARX320 blew it out of the water! Playing it through a Spider III, it made it sound exactly the same as a tube amp. It has very high output ceramic pickups, and the pots are great. The pictures online don't look a whole lot like the guitar. This guitar in person looks even more stunning! I don't know how other reviews compare this to a Tele, but it sounds like a LP to me. The wood is very dense and has great sustain, but it is lighter than a Strat! I don't think I will ever replace this guitar, unless it was stolen. I'm now on the Ibanez bandwagon.

I bought this guitar for two simple reasons. I didn't have a double cut-a-way of this style and I didn't have one this color. The reviews were good all over so I sprung for it. I love it! The weight is very modest without giving up balance and it feels good in my hands. The color on mine is more of a wine than the red that is pictured. Finish is beautiful. The neck is easy to grip if you want to dig into it yet the frets are not too large to move across quickly for lighter, faster work. I play several types of genre and the pickups seem to be adaptive for all of them to the extent that very little effects support if any is needed. But then that is just for me. For a very affordable price it well deserves the Ibanez name on it.

This guitar played great right out of the box. However, the next day, I noticed the neck had a slight bow and the strings began to buzz.  A quick adjustment on the truss rod (which is very easy to access in this model) brought the neck true again and I haven't had touched it since.  The guitar sounds better than expected.  As another reviewer stated, this guitar sounds very close to a Tele and for the style of music I play, it's a great match.
