Comments about Ibanez AVM1NT Limited Edition Artwood Acoustic Guitar:

Bought as a backup to my Marin 000-28EC. Wanted something to take places I didn't want to take a 3000.00 Martin.
I'll tell ya.. this thing is very close.
A seriously great guitar. Don't much care for the banjo tuners and I may swap them out.
If there are really only 30 of them out on the US market, then you better grab one. I was shocked at the quality of the materials, workmanship, the fit, feel and tone. No downsides. A steal for the price. Really.

Comments about Ibanez AVM1NT Limited Edition Artwood Acoustic Guitar:

I am one of the lucky 30 individuals who took a step of faith and bought one of these wonderful guitars. And perhaps more simply put, If you are looking for a Martin Clapton model? Save 3k and drop far less here,if you are not satisfied then I guess you are insatiable or just have to follow trends rather than make your own. The best .6g's I have ever spent! Now if you could please find me a case?

Comments about Ibanez AVM1NT Limited Edition Artwood Acoustic Guitar:

first, it's definitely not got solid back and sides. just look in the soundhole, it's different grain fro the outside of the guitar, doesn't hurt it in any way though. Second the stated scale is wrong. It's 25.75, a very long scale. not standard 25.4
It's a good sounding guitar before even starting to open up the adi top, get the garbage strings off it, and change out the nearly un-serviceable tuners changed. Nice feeling neck, not anything like a mod V neck in the description, standard oval.
I don't think anyone could go wrong at the cost.

Comments about Ibanez AVM1NT Limited Edition Artwood Acoustic Guitar:

IMHO...This guitar is a good value for the price. I was told that it has a solid wood top, back and sides though this is coming from a customer service rep at Musicians Friend not an official document.

Bright tone which was surprising coming from a small body.
Easy to play neck and the body size is easily maneuvered making it perfect for practicing around the house.
Would make a great beginners guitar when you want something of quality that the beginner will keep and have use for down the road.

My guitar had small indentations just under the bridge on the top sheet that looked as though something was rolled across it. (Picture rolling a quarter across a soft piece of wood and leaving the small indentations of the side of the quarter) This was under the finish and is barely noticeable but it speaks to the low quality assurance they put into this model.

The tuners constantly want to unwind. Ever wind a guitar and as you remove your hand the tuner head starts to roll back requiring you to give it that extra little quarter turn? This is a major pain and I will most likely replace the tuning hardware soon.

Overall I feel its a good deal, the limited edition aspect makes it way cooler IMO (I'm a sucker for limited and special editions) Its fun to play and very comfortable but when playing in public I would leave this at home and break out the more impressive and vocal models we all wish we could afford :)

Comments about Ibanez AVM1NT Limited Edition Artwood Acoustic Guitar:

This is a great guitar. I took a lead of faith & bought one & am very glad I did. I can't afford the $3K+ Martin, but this sounds just as good to me. I was concerned about the Banjo Tuners, but they are OK - they are geared a little higher than standard, but hold tune well & adjust easily. The Muscian's Friend rep on the phone recommended a Luna Guitars Case, which fits it perfectly. I also asked if the sides & back wqere solid rosewood - which appears to be the case, and I was told that they are. So - A solid woods, rosewood body, spruce top OM parlor guitar at this price is a Steal! Steal yours before they are gone.

Comments about Ibanez AVM1NT Limited Edition Artwood Acoustic Guitar:

Great projection. Great balanced sound. Wasn't sure what to expect. Relied on the reviews here and said "what the heck." Easily worth the purchase price. One caution -- the banjo tuners may make getting a fit in a case more difficult. I ordered a SKB 000-size case that works well except for the tuners which I am just not sure about.

Comments about Ibanez AVM1NT Limited Edition Artwood Acoustic Guitar:

I was looking for something similar to my fathers OM-21, other than body size - this one isn't super close to the martin, but it's a fantastic instrument nonetheless. Sounds big and full. The Adirondack spruce top is a very light blonde.

If I were to have any say in future productions of this guitar, I'd say the only changes that need to be made are to add standard tuners (with a smoother gear ratio... if you give these honky banjo tuners a quarter turn the guitar goes up or down nearly an octave) and a bone nut. The ebony nut is interesting and seems to provide a sort of softer sound, but that's a matter of preference. From a front of house EQ perspective, I like a brighter instrument because I feel it's easier to remove high end from the guitar than to add it.

The diamond volute is unique, I like the aesthetic. Frets are small/medium. The longer scale is nice, especially if you like to tune down a bit.

I've already swapped the tuners and it's staying in tune much, much better. The nut is next. I feel it's worth it to spend the 50-150 to make this already great sounding 500 instrument play like a guitar that costs thousands.

I feel very lucky to have snagged one of these bad boys while they were available - I really hope to see Ibanez introducing more OM body types in the future.
