OVERVIEW

Solid-top Artwood with standout cosmetics and electronics at an unbelievable price.

If you've played or even just listened to many acoustic guitars, you know the amazing difference a solid top makes. The Ibanez AW30ECENT ARTWOOD SERIES Acoustic-Electric Guitar features a solid top made of Englemann spruce. You'll hear warm lows and ringing highs in crisp detail, the way an acoustic is supposed to sound. The dreadnought body style is particularly well suited to making yourself heard in a group. The cutaway allows easy access to the entire fretboard.

For faithful reproduction of acoustic tone, a Fishman Sonicore pickup is paired with the Ibanez AEQ-SST Shape Shifter preamp with an onboard tuner. Tune anytime, anywhere. You're also ready for whatever connection is available. The AW30ECENT has balanced 1/4" and XLR outputs.

Mahogany back and sides, maple body and neck binding, and gold die-cast tuners with brown pearloid knobs are features you normally find on guitars costing far more. If you've been holding back on an acoustic guitar purchase because you haven't found the right features at the right price, your wait is over.

Check the drop-down menu to the right to select colors and/or other options.

So..i don't usually review things. But...i felt like i HAD to with this Guitar. It sounds SO brilliant! Looks Brilliant, And is just....wel...brilliant :D My last gutar was a Lyon by Washburn. it SUCKED. This is such a great imporvement. I have a feeling this guitar and i are gunna be buds for years to come :) The only thing i had the TINIEST problem with is if i capo it on the first fret, the top string buzzes really bad, but i'm sure that could be fixed. It is also darker then the picture shows (i have the violin suburst) it looks black unless under the light, it looks like the picture. But overall....i am more then satisfied with this Guitar. Oh, and did imention it sounds spectacular plugged in? Truly beautiful instrument, nice highs, and nice lows. You will not regret buying this guitar. if you have the money in your pocket, don't wait another second! This is perfect for playing by yourself, or playing in a band :)

I feel like this guitar is overpriced compared to some of the other brands in this price range. I didn't really know what to look for in a guitar when I bought this one. It is ok for a beginner but after a year playing it I was very ready for an upgrade. It does not hold the classic acoustic tone I enjoy in a guitar...

low e string buzz

By g-stringGirl

from NC

I love this guitar, it's great, but I have one problem. The low e string had a very loud buzz on the first fret. the other frets it sounds beautiful, just the first one is a problem. Does anyone know what the problem might be?

What a sweet guitar!

By Limybykr

from Watertown, WI

I got mine right after Christmas and played it for a little while before addressing set-up. Beautiful tone, brilliant sparkling sound, and believable sustain. I have since lowered the bridge and changed strings which resulted in a quantum leap forward in playability and sound. All I can say is that my electrics are collecting a little dust these days. Great value, it tickled my ears much more than some of the (much!) higher priced models I played.

Really Nice Package

By Beginning in NJ

from New Jersy

I just purchased this. Was originally looking for a Takamine G340C series but this was in stock in the store. When I played it I was amazed at how easy it was (for a beginner) to play. Only problem I ran into was a dead spot at the 13th fret for the B and e string. Was easily fixed. When plugged into an amp, and adjusted the on-board amp, the sound is amazing. You will not go wrong with this guitar.

I bought this guitar when I was first starting out, and I couldn't have been happier, back then I didn't know much, but now when I look back it was a good guitar, it has a nice sound to it, the electronics were pretty alright, great for somebody just starting out, would deff. recommend this to somebody I know!

I recently switched from an ovation celebrity to this beautiful guitar and i have to say...the best thing ive ever done. This guitar plays like it costs a fortune but wont dent your wallet at all! The electronics are also outstanding as well. Great guitar.

Ibanez AW CENT

I bought an Ibanez AW70CENT when it first came out about 10 years ago. It's pretty much the same as the AW30 except the 70 has a low gloss finish. I did have to repair the input connection after 6 years, but other than that no problem.

Great value

By theGilmour

from Charlotte, NC

The Artwood series pack a great set of features for an affordable price that can't be beat. Plus it's the only solid spruce top I could find for this price range. I did a lot of research online and in store and landed with the beautiful sunburst violin. I cannot expect anymore for an entry level solid wood acoustic electric. Also check out the AC35ECENT which has a solid Cedar top for a softer tone. I'm an Ibanez fan now!

Ibanez guitars: quality at an affordable price!

By Quad City Quaffer

I own the Ibanez AW100ECENT, which is the 2006 model year version of this 2007 model. I have had nothing but good experience with this instrument. I compared it side by side with the much more expensive American and Japanese made cutaway electric acoustic dreadnoughts, and I could see no appreciable difference between mine and those others in terms of build quality, tone, sustain or presence. A great value for what you shell out. Ibanez rocks!
