Solid-top Artwood with standout cosmetics and electronics at an unbelievable price.
If you've played or even just listened to many acoustic guitars, you know the amazing difference a solid wood top makes. The Ibanez AW35RECENT ARTWOOD SERIES Acoustic-Electric Guitar features a solid top made of high quality cedar. You'll hear warm, sustaining tones across the sound spectrum. The dreadnought body style is particularly well suited for flatpicking, but sounds great in any style. The cutaway allows easy access to the entire fretboard.
Noted for its natural sound, a B-Band under-the-saddle pickup is paired with the Ibanez SRTn preamp with an onboard tuner. Tune anytime, anywhere. You're also ready for whatever connection is available. The AW35RECENT has balanced 1/4" and XLR outputs.
Rosewood back and sides, maple body and neck binding, and gold die-cast tuners with brown pearloid knobs are features you normally find on guitars costing far more. If you've been holding back on an acoustic guitar purchase because you haven't found the right features at the right price, your wait is over.

I purchased my AW35RECE from Musician's Friend for low-stakes live performances. My main (until recently) 6-string was my Martin D18, and I figured I would still play that to entertain myself and for more important gigs where it was worth the hassle to mic it (I won't disturb a 40-year old Martin with electronics). The AW35RECE turned out to be way more instrument than I was expecting for the relatively modest price. Accoustic sound is rich (although the bass can't match the Martin), action was perfect right out of the box, and electronics are amazing. I prefer playing it to my Martin, and I would use it anywhere. It among the best, if not THE best, instrument values I have ever encountered.
This is the best sounding guitar I have ever owned I have had 3 people want to buy it! I just had one problem with it the bridge cracked so I sent it to Ibanez and they sent me a new one but overall 5 stars
I?m constantly playing my electric guitar and for my birthday wanted an acoustic. So the day came and we went to a local Sam Ash, and a worker gave me a couple of acoustic-electrics to play around with. This was the first one that he handed me and the rest didn't compare. It?s cedar top gives it a warm, beautiful tone with pure highs and deep lows. Everything I?ve played on it sounds beautiful. It has a great sound unplugged, and plugged it sounds awesome. At first I wasn't sure about the B-band pickup, but it works really well and there is no static. The website says the tuners have brown pearloid knobs, but in reality they are a really cool amber color. That has to be the one small detail that differentiates this guitar from all others cosmetically. The finish is a nice, classic one- just beautiful. This was the guitar I bought, it sounded way better than all the others in this price range! I?m surprised there are no other reviews, it?s a great buy that you definitely won?t regret!
