OVERVIEW

An ode to the past with modern appointments, including Fishman Sonicore pickup and Ibanez preamp.

The Artwood Series was crafted to produce a traditional yet modern guitar. Technology moves forward at a frantic pace and the world of guitar craftsmanship is no different. In producing the Artwood Series, Ibanez has respected both the rich tradition of the acoustic guitar while adding modern interpretations in its continuing search for the ultimate in guitar tone.

The AW535CENT Artwood Solid Top Dreadnought Acoustic-Electric features their Dreadnought body shape with single cutaway design, a solid Sitka spruce top, mahogany neck (with a satin finish), and a 3-piece rosewood/flamed maple/rosewood back, and a rosewood fingerboard with maple inlays. It also comes with a bone nut to deliver a well-balanced sound, a bone saddle on a distinctively contoured rosewood bridge with Ibanez Advantage bridge pins, and chrome Grover tuners. When you need some more amplification, the AW535CENT includes a Fishman Sonicore pickup with an Ibanez AEQ-SP2 preamp and onboard electronic tuner. It also gives you the choice of XLR or 1/4" outputs so you can plug into more gear than your average guitar.

Case sold separately.

Comments about Ibanez AW535CENT Artwood Solid Top Dreadnought Acoustic-Electic Guitar:

I bought this Ibanez based on positive reviews and they are absolutely correct.Im sure a lot of players would turn their noses up just like me.But if every player that really understands how an acoustic guitar should really sound this guitar will amaze.I know it sounds crazy but it's true this Ibanez is built top quality and the factory set up is awesome I have 3 other acoustics(2 martins 1guild all dreads)..This Ibanez had much better action and plays sooo easy...I could go on and on but believe me after 38 yrs I know sound and playability

Comments about Ibanez AW535CENT Artwood Solid Top Dreadnought Acoustic-Electic Guitar:

What a deal! I am a piano/keyboard player that doubles on guitar and really just wanted an acoustic for enjoyment. I was torn what to buy and was looking at entry level Taylors and Martins. While they were nice, the deal that I got on this guitar was one I couldn't pass up. While it was a blemish sale, I can't find one! The Grover Tuners and Fishman electronics are worth more than I paid! Take all that away and the guitar plays great, sounds great and is really beautiful. Thanks guys for a great deal!

Comments about Ibanez AW535CENT Artwood Solid Top Dreadnought Acoustic-Electic Guitar:

Wanted something that was inexpensive that I wouldn't have to worry about onstage in clubs, but was decent quality. (Take a $3000 Martin or Taylor to club gig??? Yeah, right!)
Well, this baby surpassed all my expectations. Great feel, great sound and great looks! (My sound man loves the signal he gets!)This fits the bill. Couldn't be happier.

Comments about Ibanez AW535CENT Artwood Solid Top Dreadnought Acoustic-Electic Guitar:

I am blown away at how great this guitar sounds! I mostly play for fun at home and jam with friends. (I also did an open mic with it and it sounded as good as a Martin one of the other guys played.) I was attracted by the 3 piece back, but the sound and the feel are really excellent. A lot of guitar for the money!
