OVERVIEW

An extra-thin body, narrow neck and efficient electronics make it stage-ready.

Ibanez classical guitars take the guesswork out of finding an affordable, great-sounding classical guitar that's easy to fret and play. Whether you are looking for a traditional classical-sized instrument or a comfortable nylon-string beginner guitar, they are extremely well-constructed, affordable and have the pristine tonality and playability of much more expensive instruments.

The GA35 has a spruce top and mahogany body that's only 2-3/4" thick. Being more resistant to feedback, it's ideal for stage work. It also has a narrower neck than a standard classical guitar making it a great crossover instrument for the steel-string or electric-guitar player. A cutaway and 14th-fret neck joint further enhance the playability of this affordable nylon string.

AEQ210T Preamp
The Ibanez AEQ210T 2-band tone control with built-in tuner is optimized for use with Ibanez undersaddle pickup and comes with a Phase switch.

Balanced XLR and 1/4" Outputs
In addition to the 1/4" output jack, a balanced XLR jack is included for direct connection to a PA system. AA battery operation avoids the difficulty in finding replacement batteries.

Case sold separately.

Comments about Ibanez GA35 Thinline Acoustic-Electric Classical Guitar:

For the price of this guitar, it is an amazing deal. The neck is not nearly as wide as a traditional classical. Also, the guitar was set up decent out of the box. The finish is extremely beautiful!! I couldn't believe the finish and color. Very little string buzz besides around the 4th fret on the G string. The electronics in this guitar are amazing. The sound quality of the pickup through my studio monitors is crystal clear. I love having the option of the balanced XLR output as well. Battery compartment couldn't be easier to access, as it is pops right out beside the output jacks. Only thing you have to watch out for is that the tuner can stay on without the guitar being plugged in. I've noticed many acoustics tuners only activate after being plugged in. The only down side to this guitar is the lack of resonance it produces. One would expect this with a thin body acoustic. But if you're jamming by yourself it wouldn't be a problem, otherwise you'd want to plug this baby in.

Decent For Non-Professionals

Comments about Ibanez GA35 Thinline Acoustic-Electric Classical Guitar:

Decent guitar for price paid, however you will need to spend extra to get this into playing condition.
Electronics are very good, tuner is fast and accurate. The models I tried had several quality control issues - frets were uneven, and the nut was not correctly placed on the neck, making the high E string slip off the neck if the player is not experienced.

Comments about Ibanez GA35 Thinline Acoustic-Electric Classical Guitar:

it's a beautiful guitar. The tone and sound is great.it's easy to play and the strap pegs allow you to sit or stand when playing.I've played professionally for over fifty years and this guitar is already one of my favorites.I know that every pickers taste is different so I can't speak for them, but don't let the price fool you.To me this guitar is a true quality instrument.

Comments about Ibanez GA35 Thinline Acoustic-Electric Classical Guitar:

I got one elsewhere, (store closing) not knowing it existed, and looked it up here to learn more. I am writing this review to let others know what a great little classical guitar this is. If you want to add "that" sound, it's affordable, great-looking, easy to play, and sounds very good. Think of Sting's "Fields of Gold" - this will do that.
