I was lucky enough to catch a super sale on one of these guitars. What I was looking for was a decent playing cart around axe for practice and leave the good stuff for gigs. Well, this guitar with some pro tweaking has become one of my favorite guitars. I have Fenders, Gibsons, both vintage and new. But this Ibanez just works really well and for the price, you cant beat it.If you want to nit pick, sure, the pick ups could be a bit better, the bridge could be a little better ( I don't ever use wammy, I tighten the bride flat to the body) But come on...look at that price. The neck is amazing. I have used this axe on stage with no problems at all. I play everything from pop to metal. Learn to use the knobs boys. It's got just the right weight, very comfy body and just plain fun to play. When the stock strings go south, put some Ernie Balls on and you will be very happy.

This guitar is really amazing. I bought this guitar about 3 weeks ago and i have only found one problem. When i use the whammy bar, 9 times out of 10 it comes out of tune. Other than this issue, this guitar is great. I'm 14 and I'm into Death-Core and heavy metal and I play stuff by like Bring Me The Horizon, Escape the Fate, We Came As Romans, Avenged Sevenfold and this guitar is perfect for this so I highly suggest this guitar for novice and even experienced guitar players. I actually used this guitar to play at a bar and it went really well and I'm actually joining my dads friends band and this guitar is what i used for all of this so I'm very proud of this guitar and myself. So I recommend for fans of Death-Core and heavy metal.

I got this guitar in July of 2012, and I was impressed. The Ibanez GRG120BDX is the best guitar for beginner or experienced guitar players. I've been playing since I was 4 and a half and I haven't had any guitar as good as this. It's good for all-around purposes. I use it mainly for my band. It has good tone and good pickups. The only thing I would suggest Ibanez changes is the tremolo arm. When I do the whammy, my guitar goes out of tune. But, besides that, I recommend this. Ibanez did the fine job they always do with their guitars. Especially for a budget price, I suggest this. This guitar is great for the low price, so this is just a great Ibanez. I'm happy with what I got!

I love everything about this guitar except for the pickups, they sound great on cleans, but as far as being overdriven they don't sound anything as great as the EMGS in my other guitar, so if you have extra cash go grab some EMG 81 & 85's they are the best!

This is my first guitar. I have been learning to play just recently, but the guitar works great for what I'm needing it for. the pick-ups run hot which is great for metal and just jamming in general. I have been actually able to move quickly on learning more intense and heavy riffs like slayer and megadeth. All in all this guitar is phenomenal. Very good buy!

My wife bought me this guitar as a gift and I really love it. I wanted a guitar with humbuckers because I am beginning to dabble in metal and other heavy music. I normally play blues with a Stratocaster. This guitar rocks and I LOVE Ibanez necks. They are so thin and fast. I actually gained a 2 fret spread. This guitar is a beast for heavy music. Buckethead music sounds great and the sustain is endless thanks to the basswood body. The neck pickup is warm and clean arrpegio chords sound great and the bridge pickup is hot as a firecracker. Pinch harmonics and Zakk Wylde pings are a breeze. My only gripe is the 1 tone and 1 volume knobs. I am going to change em out with push/pull pots. I really believe you will not be disappointed!!
