Comments about Ibanez GRG150MS Electric Guitar:

I was a bit apprehensive about buying this guitar, but I'm so happy that I did. The reason for my apprehension is because I've seldom picked up an Ibanez that didn't rub me the wrong way. It's always been something elusive that I couldn't quite put my finger on. Maybe the neck wasn't quite comfortable, or the fit and finish on the frets wasn't up to par. Dunno. Anyway, I was looking for a starter guitar for my daughter and some friends who are Ibanez aficionados convinced me that for the price Musician's Friend was asking, I really couldn't go wrong, and they were right!

Whatever it was that tainted my view of other Ibanez guitars in the past does not plague this instrument. It feels good in my hands and sounds good as well. There is no fret buzz at any position. It stays in tune very well as long as you don't go dive-bombing the tremolo as if it were a Floyd Rose double-locking system. I didn't even bother to install the whammy bar, since I feel it's important for my daughter to learn how to play well first.

The only thing that I didn't like at first was the frets seem to be of the medium variety instead of the jumbos that I'm most accustomed to playing. However, this setup quickly grew on me. I also find myself drawn to the idea of adding a maple fingerboard to my collection of rosewood and ebony equipped axes.

If you're searching for a great, full-scale beginner guitar, or just looking to add an inexpensive axe to your collection, look no further!

Comments about Ibanez GRG150MS Electric Guitar:

This doesn't hold tuning very well when using the Tremolo Bar (Whammey bar). It has a pine neck (which I dislike), BUT, sounds great, plays great, looks great, and is great quality for the price. It's pretty durible. It's holding up for me so far. Shipping was fast, and if I'm correct, it was free shipping too. To me, with the black Friday discount, this was a steal. Love it.

Comments about Ibanez GRG150MS Electric Guitar:

I bought this to play Rocksmith. I have a decent acoustic/electric guitar and have used it for live sessions at church. The acoustic guitar is impossible for certain techniques such as bends and vibratos playing Rocksmith. This is my first electric guitar so I can not compare to a decent or a bad one. But my opinion goes as this. It's kind of heavy. After a full bend, it was out of tune few times. The whammy bar is great for bends, instead of doing a bend with your finger, just use the bar. Tuning is sometimes annoying but it could be a game issue. The last 2 strings are not as loud as the rest. And there are some fret buzz. Its good enough for me to play rocksmith.

This is my first electric guitar. As far as I can tell this is a high quality guitar that will serve my purposes for years. Excellent rating for my ordering experience. The guitar arrived in 5 business days as promised with free shipping just before Christmas. Great experience and what I consider to be a high quality product at an exceptional price.

I had an acoustic guitar and just wanted to have an electric guitar on the side. I compared many electric guitar across various sites and this is the best electric guitar for the price. Great guitar for beginners and just to add on your collection.

Comments about Ibanez GRG150MS Electric Guitar:

This is a great guitar. I own several guitars and wanted something new with a bit of low-end crunch and metal sound (although it's capable of ANY style). The neck is amazing (I prefer maple necks). Fast and true. The pickup config is powerful yet allows for a wide range of tones. The trem is awesome and holds tuning remarkably well (within reason, of course). Mine came set-up perfectly out of the box! No flaws, etc... I was skeptical of the price, thought maybe it was a misprint... This is not your "standard GIO" The extras make this the deal of the century! I'm very happy with this purchase.
