I have this guitar, because it was my first guitar. I thought this guitar was incredible at first. Loved evreything about it, the tone, the frett action, and the overall playability of it. I played it forever and for a cheap guitar it is pretty good. However, after a while of playing I wanted things like thicker strings...and when i did that all hell broke loose. They were too strong for the tremolo bar and broke it so whenever i tuned, it would come up and make everything out of tune again...damn...so I had to tie down the bar and it doesn't go out of tune anymore but now I have no tremolo system. Also the pickups aren't too good, but its a cheap guitar remember. I would recommend this guitar to beginners who just want to rock out, but if you are looking for a more advanced guitar, where you can use tremolo, thicker strings, and such luxeries like that, you might wanna look for an up scale model from Ibanez or ESP also makes good guitars with great bodies like this guitar has. Those are my thoughts on this guitar, take em or leave em.

Well, I wrote a review for this guitar about a page back. I think that was six months ago. Since then, this guitar had gone down in quality for me in the two years I've had it.First off, it goes out of tune if I so much as breathe on it. Also, the input jack started to come loose after a while, so that's another thing to worry about. One of the inconveniences is the location of the input jack. when using a standard cord, the thing sticks out so far that when I play sitting down, the metal part of the cord presses on the rubber part, and I have cuts in the bases of all my cords.Even so, this guitar still has a great feel to it, and great tone for rock. Remember though, it's really only good for beginners.

This is a simple and practical guitar, it is easy to play and sounds good. I learned guitar with this model, I recommend it to rock enthusiasts.
I bought this guitar over the summer of 2005 because I was going to have a guitar class here at Southern Connecticut in the Fall 2005 semester. Since I am a lefty, it was hard to find an electric guitar for a decent price. I found this guitar and bought it almost instantly. I love this guitar. The quality is phenomenal. The sound is great. I have had nothing but success with this guitar. This is a beginner's dream and especially for a lefty on a budget. Excellent price for this excellent product.
I was a little cautious about buying this guitar. I've read the reviews about this guitar and everyones complaining about it goes out of tune every 5 minutes but it staying in tune great. It goes a bit flat after 2 days but my trusty tuner can fix that. I have dropped this guitar several times, i've scratched it, Heck, I even hit it a couple times(By accident). If your a lefty, Buy this guitar.
My first and perhaps best guitar, although the choice for us left handers is limited. It's a little unfair that the left handed version is more expensive, but Ibanez is definitely my choice. I was composing two days after i got it, and it looks great. perfect for any gig.
This guitar is a guitar perfect for beginners I have been playing for over a year on this guitar and it's still worth playing it's cheap for broke players but it's good to start. I am buying a Ibanez RG now but I will keep and play this guitar forever
This was my first guitar. It was cheap and that was appealing. However, I found that it possessed a pretty good sound. Of course I am not one to just let my equipment remain stock, so I dropped a Seymour DUncan Dimebucker in the bridge and a Seymour Duncan Pearly Gates in the neck. Holy Smokes, this baby rocks! I also own an Ibanez Artcore, and an ESP with EMG 81s. I'm telling you, with the addition of those Seymour Duncans this black beauty keeps up with the high dollar equipment and so still gets played. Indulge your muse and get one.
As far as inexpensive left-handers go, this guitar is a pleasant surprise. It's definitely a great left-handed guitar to start out on. The neck has great action and the pickups give you the more bang for your buck that you need. The only problems that I saw were that the tremolo caused strings to go out of tune with excessive use and the bridge pickup is a little too open and strat-twang sounding, but that's probably just me. The more you play it the better it sounds, overall a great guitar for your money.
This guitar is very good IF YOU ARE BUYING YOUR FIRST GUITAR. It is good to start off. The neck is pretty comfortable and the pickups sound good. If you are planning to get this as your first guitar and keep it for a long time, DONT DO IT. You will definitely get sick of it because it loses tuning if you look at it funny and the frets are small, making it hard to play much of anything that is fast. Save up and buy something better. If you ignore my review and buy this anyways, DONT USE THE WHAMMY BAR. This tremolo makes the guitar go out of tune CRAZY FAST. I would reccomend just taking it off and never using it
It's the best thing since cheese and crackers, no guitar plays this good for this price! For this cheap, it's a must buy!
The humbucker pick-ups are very good sounding on this axe, but more colors would be a nice thing.
I just want to say that I found this particular guitar to be just right for me. I am a beginner and I didn't have but so much money to spend on this, especially being left handed and those costing more. It's a great quality guitar for a low quality price
This guitar is my first electric guitar and for it's price, I think it's worth the price. Its hard to find a left handed guitar for a steady price. It has a few let down's, like the cover under the pickup is just made with nylon (Not really a problem, but it would have been nice to be made of a solid material). The quality is perfect for a first guitar.
I have owned this guitar for a few months now, wanting just a low priced beginner guitar, and I have found a long term guitar instead! This guitar has an amazing tone for the music I am learning to play. The tremolo does have a tendency to knock it out of tune, but I use a Boss TU2 pedal tuner with it an getting it back into tune is no problem. I reccomend this guitar to anyone.
I got this guitar as a first time low end guitar. (All my others are $500 +) The guitar was manufactured pretty solid. The pickups were decent for the guitar. (I run Dimarzio PAF Pro and Evo/Tone Tones in most of my guitars / Coil Tapped.) I tuned the guitar usually at the beginning of the day, at the middle of the day and at the end of the day. Overall, it's a good beginner's guitar, and with slight mods, a good intermediate guitar!
I got this guitar with "college" money I got after my high school graduation. Not bad for the price. It's not a professional grade guitar, that's for sure. But it works and it works well. I don't have fret buzz problems like someone mentioned earlier, and it works fine. If you are a beginner or someone who just doesn't need a guitar with a bunch of bells and whistles, this axe is great for a lefty who isn't loaded with money.
Nice for learning or taking to a gig and giving it a beating. Good guitar.
This guitar is a great guitar, I bought it about a year ago and I have had no problems with it whatsoever. It is a wonderful buy. I believe that it is worth much more!
Excellent guitar for beginners. I would know, it is still my first guitar. The machine heads are no good, invest and get some sperzels. I now have Emg-81 and Emg-89, with extra adjustments, this is a heavy metal monster!
the best left hander that i have ever played for the money. i will never part with my ibanez. all around great playing guitar for the novice to the expert.
The Ibanez electric guitar sounds great and it plays fast! It produces great sound and it is good quality because it is an Ibanez!!
