I got this guitar for Christmas, boy was I happy. This guitar has everything you need to start rocking out. I really would give all the ratings a 10 but I really couldn't. For the features you have everything you could want on a guitar, well, except for a whammy bar. This guitar was really meant for rhythm but it sounds great for everything. The pickups are great. The Neck pickup is quite jazzy and sounds like you're playing Red Hot Chili Peppers. The Bridge Pickup is great for distortion and will give you that clear treble sound. You have 3 pickup switches, Neck, Neck+Bridge and Bridge. The Neck+Bridge sounds amazing as well. I have heared that these stock pickups should be replaced with better ones for full satisfaction though, so I'm putting on some Duncans And Burstbuckers on soon. Quality is fantastic. This thing is literally a black mirror! WARNING, EXTREMELY scratch prone. I cry a little bit everytime I see this baby in dead light. But the further away you are, the shinier it looks. Don't let the scratches get to you, get a case! Another sad fact is, the strap holder in the back was very loose for me, it doesnt fall out but it is very spinny. Worst of all, in months one of my tone knobs fell off. One of them is really sensitive and makes the knob fall out every now and then. But oh well, don't let that get to you either. Might be my own issue.Value, it has to be the best. This is also a stage guitar so you will be paying cheap money for this guitar.Overall, I love my Iceman, thanks to Daron Malakian for showing it off. Oh and it is a bit big and heavy, but don't be a weakling. :]

    Amazing guitar!

I've wanted one of these Iceman's for the longest time. 5 years to be exact. The guys at Dave Phillips in Phillipsburg, NJ found one for me and ordered it. And the first time I played it I loved it. All it needed was a good set up but all used instruments tend to need one. The pick ups are great but I am getting Dimarzio Evolutions in it because to me they sound better. The neck is perfect and the body is extremely comfortable. This is basically my dream guitar. If I were going to suggest it to anyone I would but I want to collect as many as I can being as I am a collector of Iceman's. If anyone is willing to part with theirs just let me know.

    I love the Iceman

    By Morgan-l.XcI

My local music store had one of these and after seeing it on the wall several trips over there, I finally picked it up and I'm glad I did. The neck isn't like the Wizard necks but it works. I would like 24 frets but I can do without. I love the body style. If I could, I'd get this is a custom 7 string version. The pickups could be better but Nick from AILD replaced them with EMG 81/85 set and it sounds great not to mention he plays crazy fast. Basically, try it before you buy it(if you can find one).

    Great Guitar!

This is a great guitar. The pickups are great but they could be better. I would recommend seymour duncs or dimarzios. The neck is really fast. Great body design. The only problem was it only has 22 frets. I am a shredder and I would prefer 24 but its ok this guitar is great

    Ehhh... It plays right

    By Ibanez_fo_life777

After 3 days i instantly returned it.It doesn't hold its value very well and it isnt revry good for shredding or solos. Maybe you could use it for some Metallica type rythems [which is cool!] but its just very limited and i feel that everyojne even thinking about this guitar should try it< but then tell me if you agree with me.I much prefer the likes of an ibanez PRestige or RG.

    Unique guitar

    By Arrrrrg

I bought an Ibanez Iceman X for my first guitar, but I wasn't satisfied with it. So I bought this guitar: The Ibanez Iceman 400. It is a great guitar that's good for playing any type of music. However, one of the volume knobs was missing when recieved the guitar. I found it in the bottom of the box. Guitarwise... I recommend this guitar to anybody who wants something different.

    Who needs a Les Paul?

    By Iceman7962

    from Blacklick, Ohio

Seriously, who needs a Les Paul? I don't, considering I got mine for less than half the price of a Les Paul Studio, and less than a quarter the price of a Les Paul Standard. The IC400 is extremely solid, sustains for days, plays like a dream, is fully bound from the rear strap button to the tip of the headstock in gorgeous cream binding, has an very comfortable set maple neck, awesome inlays, the totally unique Iceman shape, a solid mahogany body, etc. The only thing I'll count against this guitar, is the stock pickups. While they're by no means bad, they're not great. Once I swapped the bridge pickup for a DiMarzio Super Distortion, and the neck pickup for a DiMarzio Super 2, this thing became an unstoppable monster. The Iceman is a highly underrated guitar, for reasons unbeknownst to me. Pick one up NOW!

I'm a novice but I love this guitar!

    By m13a8

I've only been playing guitar a year, but I found this guitar at the local shop for a bargain, and I decided to go ahead and get it. It sounds killer through my Big Muff Pi and marshall combo, doesn't sound bad unplugged, either. I've had excellent experience with this guitar staying in tune, and it's an absolute must-have if you're into guitars with unusual bodies like I am, or if you just want to stray from the Strat to something more unique.

    Awesome

    By Dylan_Iceman

I got this guitar for my birthday a few days ago. I have to say, this is a great guitar. It sounds beautiful on distortion, and it has a good clean sound that I didn't expect. It has a really sleek neck and it's VERY easy to play on. But, when I got it, it buzzed very badly with the factory strings. I made a neck adjustment and I'm getting some new strings soon and it should be good. Great guitar!
