OVERVIEW

Sleek and stealth with a wizard neck and HSH configuration.

The cutting edge of Ibanez design, the Iron Label SIR70FD Series Electric Guitar with DiMarzio Pickups is a marvel of form and function. Its signature body shape - sculpted, lightweight, and mahogany - is stronger and more musically responsive than guitars weighing twice as much. It features the Nitro Wizard Neck, a legendary super-thin, ultra-playable neck with road-tested durability. This model comes with DiMarzio® Pickups in an HSH configuration. Made in the US, these pickups offer deep, warm & rich dynamics. The Gibraltar Standard is a simple fixed bridge that was designed to unify with the guitar's body and provide optimal transfer of each string's vibration with a smooth surface designed to maximize playing comfort.

Case sold separately.

Comments about Ibanez Iron Label SIR70FD Series Electric Guitar with DiMarzio Pickups:

I was an Ibanez fan back in the late 80's, switched to a Les Paul in the 90's, Moved to custom Warmoth self built guitars over the past decade. Ibanez got me curious with some of their new models, nice design, good price and no additional changes necessary after the purchase. This guitar is a major home run. The neck is smooth, fast and very solid. The body has good weight and the pick ups sound and work well with this model. This has become my main guitar for all playing, it's very hard to put down and walk away from. Well Done Ibanez, Bravo!

Comments about Ibanez Iron Label SIR70FD Series Electric Guitar with DiMarzio Pickups:

I bought the guitar because I like the lightweight and shape of the S models. I have a Korean S and I love the neck and binding. The fret work and binding feel sharp to the touch and some quality problems with the joining of the maple and bubinga on the neck on this model. A premium neck would be better. The mahogany body and pickups produce rich sound comparable with any guitar priced over $1200. Not bulky like a RG and it has a small neck heavy balance issue, but not as bad as Gibson SG's. A 22 fret neck or a 25 inch scale might alleve the problem. Basically it is a professional guitar body with a kiddie guitar neck.
