The guitar sounds really good, although it is not the best looking guitar, if that is what you are looking for. I am not saying that is looks bad, but if you compare with similarly priced Yamahas or Estebans, then they probably look better. I tried out the Yamahas and Estebans too from my friends, and I liked the tone on the Ibanez much better. The sound is really sweet, and a value for money. Considering the price it comes for, it is a steal. I have played the V50 if Ibanez for long, and I thought it sounded very good for the price. I think the V100 plays equally well. The Solid Top does not make an immediate difference, atleast to my ears. May be in the ears to come, but that will need to wait.Over all a very nice guitar, with good looks, if not the best. I would recommend this one over the Yamaha at this price range.

This is a complete package, and everything The guitar would have to be a higher qualtiy instrument for me to wholeheartedly recommend it, but for a beginner who just needs an easy to play instrument with the accessories to get started, this package will work. Be warned, however, you'll probably outgrow it pretty quickly if tone quality is at all important to you.
This is a pretty complete package, everything you need to get started playing guitar. It is to be a gift for my daughter. We only bought a stand to go with it.
I purchased this package as a gift for my daughter, a beginner guitar player. It arrived in excellent condition. Everything is as advertised. The guitar looks good with no obvious defects. I did not take the gig bag out to look it over. It's probably inexpensively made and lacks padding. If you use it, you don't want to handle your guitar carelessly anyway. I tuned the guitar up, and it seems to tune easily (I use overtones to tune, rather than an electronic tuner). It plays pretty easily. Honestly, the main issue with the guitar is it sounds rather tinny. I own an old (pre-Gibson) epiphone and a cheap Rogue accoustic-electric and both have a fuller, more pleasant tone quality than this Ibanez. My wife, who is not musically inclined at all, noticed it immediately. At some point we'll try a different set of strings to see if that helps the tone.
The extras probably make this package worth the price. The price is very low, after all, but even when you buy a package, the guitar is what really counts.

    Seems pretty good to me

    By David Perry

Comments about Ibanez JamPack Solid-Top Acoustic Guitar Pack:

I'd like to see a padded bag and a better tuner, but other than that, this seems like a great value. I bought the package from a very reputable local music store and the salesman (non-commissioned) really was enthusiastic about this package over the Ibanez IJV50 because this one had a solid spruce top and not plywood.
You get a fair amount of "stuff" with the guitar, but really what you're after is the guitar. The strap is nice, the bag is okay. The rest (tuner, DVD) you can get on the internet for free. The extra strings are good I suppose but most people say you'll want to upgrade them at some point. The solid top is nice.
So far so good. The bag is so-so as I said and the strap is pretty good.
This is a great value for a solid-top guitar.

    Needs better Quality

    By JJ Goats

Comments about Ibanez JamPack Solid-Top Acoustic Guitar Pack:

Bought this as my first guitar. Out of the box I discovered that the tuner is worthless and the strings are sub par. Gig bag was nice but not nearly as durable as gig bags from Washburn and others for similar packs. I also had a problem with mine having horrible fret buzz on the third fret. I would have it set up but I am in the military stationed in Korea, so Im not sure where I can find a luthier. Oh well I am getting an Alvarez RD6, hopefully it will have higher quality than this guitar

    Great Guitar for Low Price!

    By Anonymous

Comments about Ibanez JamPack Solid-Top Acoustic Guitar Pack:

Just got it a week ago. The action was fine. The extra's are inexpensively manufactured but it's the guitar you are buying. If you don't want the extra's then buy a solid top guitar without them. The solid top will sound better with age. Crisp highs and decent mid ranges. This is not a great guitar for producing bassey lows. Buy it and enjoy it!

Its a good guitar. Thats about it, the strings that come with it, and the extras are both not good. The Tuner is worthless as well. But it is definatly worth the money for this guitar. you will just need a new set of strings

    Pretty good deal

Comments about Ibanez JamPack Solid-Top Acoustic Guitar Pack:

This pack is a pretty good deal. The Guitar is a great quality instrument for the price. A few changes to the instument itself that I would suggest are, better quality strings and better quality tuning pegs. Also You are going to need to install a strap button...why they would sell a pack that includes a strap for an instrument without a strap button is beyond me. A more functional tuner will probably save you some headaches as well. All in all, not too bad of a deal for a begginner guitarist. Best feature is the nice quality guitar for the price.

    Good starter

    By Ira Garcia

Comments about Ibanez JamPack Solid-Top Acoustic Guitar Pack:

I have just started learning how to play and this guitar is awesome. Great for any beginner, the tuner that is included does not really help but i recommend going for a Korg CA30, it is not really expensive but is a great tuner. Besides the tuner everything else that is included is great.

Comments about Ibanez JamPack Solid-Top Acoustic Guitar Pack:

Having spent weeks on-line and in music stores looking for a quality sounding guitar I happened upon this incredible deal. I may be a novice, but I've played on many guitars in the six hundred dollar range that could not compete with the rich and clear tones from this solid top. Although a bit of a work out, I couldn't be more pleased. Just starting? Do yourself the favor and buy it.
