Satch's smokin' signature machine.
Satriani likes the hard-edged tone and stability of a Floyd Rose combined with the simplicity and multi-string-bend capabilities of a hardtail. The result is the FX Edge bridge on this unique axe with edge contours as smooth as the grooves on Flying in Blue Dream. Double bare-knuckled DiMarzio PAF Pro and Fred humbuckers generate dense, musical tone that's not of this earth. The fast JS Prestige maple neck features full access to the 22-fret rosewood fingerboard and resonates perfectly with the basswood body.

Great tone. It speaks for itself. Light to the touch. Very comfortable weight. A must have.
Have to own one to appreciate this guitar.
I've played guitar for the past five years on a guitar that I had thought was adequate... until this beautifully crafted instrument arrived. It's gleaming paint caught my eye from the start, it's gorgeous, everyone who's seen it has fallen in love with it. The DiMarzio pickup gives you that genuine tone that mimics the satch's bright and flying technique, while the PAF pros give a warm and fat sound, amazing for a clean channel. The rounded neck grants it superb playability and the hardware is really user friendly. Overall, this guitar is worth it's weight in gold... better yet, Platinum, Buy without any doubts as to the quality of this guitar.
Having a JS100, this is definitely a step up. The pictures of this guitar doesn't do it justice. It must be seen in person to be apreciated. Plays great and can stay in tune for a long time.
Besides the incredible beauty of this guitar, the options and playability are unmatched by anything I've played. It has the smooth, fast feel of an Ibanez, yet can mimic the sounds of almost any other high-profile instrument on the market. The Floyd Rose lets you have almost the identical tone of an American Series Strat, and the wide tonal capabilities of both the pickup switching and tone knob can give you any sound from thick Les Paul girth to bright, squealing leads. Not a single note goes unheard with the strike of a chord, and each string brings a bright, crisp sound that you will notice the second you plug in. Not to mention a smooth fast neck with slightly lower action than most guitars, which allows for perfect precision and maneuverability. I could go on, but you really have to play this guitar to understand what I mean. It truly is every guitar built into one, easy-to-play package: lighter and faster than most Les pauls or Strats, but with tonal capabilities that really sound straight off of a Satch CD. This guitar is perfect, and could be worth twice as much as you will spend on it.
sound is absolutely GREAT, the neck is quite comfortable and easy to dance on, and the gold finish kicks a**!
The combination of neck and electronics makes this guitar a great value.
I had owned a JS1000 for a couple of years, so I knew how good the JS2000 should be. After it arrived and was set up by my local luthier, it was beautiful and played great. The color is realy nice, you can't help buy notice it. I find the playability (if you will) extremely easy. The over all light weight of the instrument makes it ideal for 3-4 hours of standing and playing. Like I said before I have had a JS1000 BP for 2 years and I love it. So much that I ordered the JS2000 from my local dealer without seeing or playing the instrument first. No regrets, like I said I love it. I compare it to a sports car, very responsive with little effort expended achieving your goal. Especially with the Lo Pro Edge on the JS1000, if you land on a funny or odd note, you can always use the bar give a nice vibrato to help get out of it. Effortless, I mean it!!! It is a well made guitar that should out last me because i'm not selling either of them.
I HAVE A JS1000BP, and it's a very very good instrument, for any kind of music, really heavy, bluesy, or acoustic sound...
I was looking for a versatile workhorse guitar that could match the versatility and sound of my PRS w/o having to spend too much. I can't think of any guitar that can stand up to the value and quality of this guitar. Ibanez has been able to keep the cost down on such a great guitar by making them in their Japanese workshop. The quality is excellent, although it is important to note that the finish is a polyurethane coat which may make the guitar susceptable to cracking and chipping if banged against or dropped. The versatility comes from two high quality diMarzio pickups that can be played as dual humbuckers or single coil when pulling the volume knobs. It is also amazingly lightweight. The weight alone is why I love travelling and playing with it during long gigs. Overall an excellent guitar.
