Made for rumblin' garage rockin'
Ibanez has given this retro-looking entry in their Jet King series its own looks with special position markers, a hairlined pickguard, and rocker switches for coil tapping. It features the fast JTK neck, basswood body, 22 medium frets, and hot Powersound humbuckers for plenty of gritty output.

Bought it at a local guitar store for *** bucks. got the yellow one cuz it was the only one left and this is apparently getting hard to find. I read the reviews on here saying that it had a les paul type sound and i didn't believe it. I have a les paul and it sounds great but the damn thing is tiny, the strings and frets are too close together and it looks like i'm playing a eukelele. so i got this guitar, like everyone else, based solely on it's looks but to my surprise, it actually did sound like a les paul. ( not exactly but pretty close) for *** bucks i couldn't believe it. I am actually debating on playing shows with it despite the fruity color i ended up with. I've been playing for ...oh my god 14 years! so if you're like me wondering whether or not the other reviewers are new guys who don't know what they're talking about, believe it. this thing is pretty sweet. the only gripe i have is the the frets grate the side of your index finger if your not completely perpendicular to the fretboard, at least when playing bar chords rapidly. ( guess this will force me to improve my technique.

Sporting a retro look (reminds me of a Reverend guitar) a nice neck and coil splitters, the Jet King's a decent guitar for the price. The choice of colors are so-so, with Butterscoth, a dark sunburst, and Ivory (the one I bought - why not have one in black?) available. I didn't expect much from the its Powersound pickups, but was a bit surprised when I plugged it in - a decent rock sound. The addition of a couple of coil taps "expands the tonal capabilities" of the instrument, and are a nice extra. To me, its biggest drawback is that it's a bit neck-heavy, which can get annoying after 45 min or so of playing standing up. If you try one out in a store, strap that pup on and see if that's a problem for you.

Sad that they don't carry it anymore. I bought this guitar on my 18th birthday for myself and have loved its versatility and tone since then. I couldn't have asked for a better bargain especially because I was able to get a limited edition body color (mine is a metallic blue/green). the sustain on this guitar coupled with the flexibility with selecting pickup types are great!
I bought this guitar about a year ago at probably, half the original retail price. It was just, out of the ordinary, and I had never seen a guitar like this before. It looked so retro, but when I looked, it was an Ibanez! I played live a couple times, and the sound was so clear and amazing. I really love this guitar!
This is one of my favorite ibanez guitars, it plays well, sounds pretty good, and from what i can tell it holds its tune well. the best part of this guitar is the neck, it plays very well for the price, i think it plays not as well as my american strat, but about as well as my mexican standard strat. the rocker switches are pretty cool, u can get a lot of sounds out of it. Great guitar overall, and it can't be beat by anything in it's price range.
When I bought one of these guitars, it was at a national chain store. When I brought it home to hear it on my own amp, it was mega awesome. I love the switches that changes the pickups to single coils. It's just a great guitar to own.
This guitar is great I'v had my for 3 months and i can't put it down. It has cristly clear sound and it's prefert for my band, it mite for u too.
I like everything about my Jet King, except the stock tuners are crap (and to change them you have to have the headstock drilled) and personally I think the pickups could be hotter. I'm going to see if I can take the cover off of the bridge humbucker, or if not I'll have to at least change that pickup. Perhaps some EMG HZ's. But maybe thats just me... Overall, I guess its not bad for the price, it just depends what you want.
This is the first electric i have ever bought and i've played other guitars at the same price, and they can't compete with this guitar. It is very light and sounds great when played live. If you're just starting or just want a guitar with an awesome, bassy crunch, all for a good price, go buy this guitar.
This guitar spent its first ten weeks on the road with my band i thought it did awesome. it aint no gibson but i think it rocks. one problem my tech noticed that i did not was the low E was problematic when it came to staying in tune
umm....when i first saw the price of this guitar, i thought it was going to be crap. However, i was attracted to its look and plugged it in. Within seconds, i was literally in love with it. It is definitely worth the price.
It's definitely worth the price. It sounds great and it's very playable!
