There weren't many reviews on this guitar when I bought it, so I was a little skeptical. But this guitar exceeded all of my expectations. It sounds really great plugged or unplugged. I've played alot of acoustics and this is by far the best, plus it's a really great deal. It sounds perfect for stuff like Dashboard, Deathcab, The Format, and everything else. My only complaint is that it doesn't stay in tune as long as I would like, but it's no big. This guitar is great.
This guitar was sweet! My local dealer recommended it and I tried it out and it sounded great acoustically and when I plugged it into the amp it still had great tone. The only slight problem is that the pickups aren't noiseless.
I haven't played a guitar in many years and got the itch over the summer. My research led me to Ibanez and I got the FX72NT from a local guitar shop. Of 15 or so acoustics I tried (from 6 or so guitar makers), this one fit my hand the best (I was looking for a neck that wasn't too wide). It has great sound quality, plugged or unplugged. The price was right--a great value.
I've owned this guitar for almost a year. I never had a problem, and love the sound and playability. only three things. 1. if you like to palm mute when you play, you get a huge banging sound through the bridge pickup, which is not much of a problem becouse you can just adjust the fader more towards the neck pickup. 2. When I finally had to bring it in to get set up and intonated, my guy pointed out that the neck had a slight bow that couldn't be adjusted. 3. My set up guy also said that the bridges in these guitars were placed too close to the neck, and that could also add to some tuning problems. Other than that, I record and play live, and you couldn't ask for a better sound. Miked or plugged in. BUY IT, BUT PLAY IT FIRST!!!
