OVERVIEW

A beautiful looking and sounding guitar for less.

With the Ibanez PF28ECE Performance acoustic-electric guitar you get professional features, quality and great sound backed by the Ibanez name and limited lifetime warranty. Constructed in the popular dreadnought body shape, the PF28ECE has a full sound, strong bass and clarity in chording or soloing. Featuring top grade mahogany back and sides with a flamed maple top.

The AW70ECE is fitted with the Ivorex II nut, which is stronger and more durable than bone and even harder than the original Ivorex. Ivorex II allows brilliant highs and more pronounced lows with less mid-range, making it perfect for amplification. The Ivorex II saddle is specially formulated to provide ultra-fast response and maximum sound transfer to the body.

Using the 3-band EQ and tone shaper, the Ibanez SST Shape Shifter preamp with onboard tuner enables easy sonic manipulation. Any contour is right at your fingertips. The SST also offers a phase reverse for feedback reduction. In addition to the 1/4" output jack, a balanced XLR jack is included for direct connection to the PA system.

Case sold separately.

Comments about Ibanez Performance PF28ECE Dreadnought Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

This is a quality guitar at a great price. The XLR and 1/4" jacks provide options. The SST equalizer and Fishman Sonicore pickup provide excellent sound. The playability is fantastic and it is beautiful. I don't think you'll find a better acoustic electric in this price range.

Comments about Ibanez Performance PF28ECE Dreadnought Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

This guitar was an excellent purchase and I would recommend MusiciansFriend to anyone looking to buy any sort of instrument or equipment. The transaction was easy and quick and the delivery was right on time. The guitar came in prefect condition and worked right out of the box without any need for adjustments. The Instrument itself is absolutely stunning with a beautiful sunburst finish and wonderful detailing. The tone is excellent and the guitar sounds great whether playing acoustic or hooking up to an amp. The Fishman pickups are especially nice as they provide some nice options when going electric. I'm already loving the built-in tuner which makes it easy for a beginner like me to change my instrument's tuning on the fly. Overall I think this is a great product for any guitarist and I look forward to ordering from MusiciansFriend again!

Comments about Ibanez Performance PF28ECE Dreadnought Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I have owned a countless number of guitars of all brands. This PF28 Ibanez is "tops" & I have gotten all sorts of great comments on it's sound, it's looks & the people I have actually let play it, seem to go crazy over it. When I pick it up, it's seriously hard to put it down, so I pick more than I ever did now that I have it. EVERY guitar player, whether you're a beginner or a pro, you need this one. I have an impressive musical history & I'd love to endorse this one. You might want to experiment with different brands of strings to get the sound you want. Ernie Ball nickel wound strings sure make it sound sweet! WOW!!

Great Guitar at a great price

      By TheBigDLicious

Comments about Ibanez Performance PF28ECE Dreadnought Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I spent an hour in the guitar room playing almost all the acoustics - expensive to inexpensive. I intentionally used the cheapest guitar amp in the room to test everything. This Ibanez not only had the warm sound I prefer - but sounded perfect on that cheap little acoustic amp.

It has great action and it's very easy to play. I bought it as is with no need for a set up.

I've owned many guitars in my years - very expensive and very cheap - and this one stands in there as a great bargain for the price. I expect it will serve me well for years to come.

Comments about Ibanez Performance PF28ECE Dreadnought Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I'm just a hobbyist (an old guy) playing four chord versions of classic rock songs thinking I'm a rock star... It's a lot of fun, and this is a perfect guitar for it... I have a two others (Yamaha/Fender)in this price range and this one has the best balanced sound for the simple stuff I play... I got it for the dark flame maple finish mostly, and that's super nice too... All right then, not to technical, but I just play. Oh yeah, I got this as an open box unit in 'good' condition... it came to me in much better condition than I expected... Thanks.

The wood grain in this guitar is a surefire attention getter. I put a set of Dunlop light guage strings on it & sounds great, plugged & unplugged. Has a very good feel & handles great.
This guitar fits any occasion I need. I am well pleased.

Comments about Ibanez Performance PF28ECE Dreadnought Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I have only had it about 2 hours now. By looking at the pictures, I thought I was ordering the red one. I got a brown one instead. Not complaining. It is still a beautiful guitar. Right out of the box, it wouldn't tune. After messing with it for about 20 minutes finally got it in tune. Stayed in tune about a miute and had to retune it. Might be the strings. Now body puts high grade strings on instruments to ship. Have to get some Fenders or Martins for it.Brought it up and ran it through my Marshall amp. The electronics sound good. Just have to adjust them to get the sound I want. The action is way to high at the 12th fret. Can get 2 possible three quarters between the fret and the string. Seem that the intonation is way off. You tune it one way and then start playing and it is out of tune, Tune it in octaves and then it is out of tune for the open chords. So far the only thing I am really with is the electronics, which are awesome, and the finish.
No, not at this time would I recommend anyone else to buy this one. Should have just got the humming bird I always wanted instead.
