The richness of sound, stunning appearance and unrivaled playability of the Ibanez Premium series will open the gate of your reservoir of inspiration.

One of the representative Premium models, RG1027PBF, comes with a wide range of distinctive features that will inspire any guitarist. It features a stunning Poplar Burl body with a beautiful natural binding on the top and side.

It comes with an 11pc Wizard neck made of Wenge, Bubinga, Maple and Purpleheart, contributing to the neck’s extreme rigidity and increasing sustain. The Wenge Fretboard provides tight response and comes with stainless steel frets. Stainless steel frets are known for their bright tone and adding player-friendly features, such as long durability and a smoothness for note bending. The luminescent side dot inlay makes it easy for players to see in the dark, especially when on stage.

The DiMarzio PAF 7 pickups offer depth, warmth and rich dynamics when combined with the 5-way pickup switch. This model adopts Belden wiring material and Copper shielding inside control cavity, so noiseless sound can be expected. The Tight End R bridge is perfectly designed to anchor with rigidness and accuracy, and the Gotoh  MG-T locking machine heads achieve incredible tuning stability, cutting down string-changing time. Case included.

Comments about Ibanez RG Premium 7-string electric guitar:

Throughout most of my life, I have not been able to afford good guitars. During college, well, I was poor. After college, I was still poor and had student loans. After spending 3 years slogging through internships, entry level jobs, and finally climbing up to a junior position, I found myself at a financial position where I could actually afford to buy a good guitar. I had so many options- LTDs, Kiesels, Jacksons, Schecters, etc. After extensive research, I ended up purchasing this particular Ibanez RG Premium model. Having played it for several days, I can wholeheartedly say that I made an EXCELLENT choice.

First off, the craftsmanship is solid. The guitar has a balanced weight- it isn't exactly light, but it also isn't leg-numbingly heavy. The guitar has a nice sturdy feel to it when you hold it. All the parts are functional like they should be.

The aesthetics of the guitar are stunning. The way that the cerulean burst meshes in with the poplar burl top wood is mesmerizing, and I find myself just starting at the guitar for minutes. The 11pc neck and the wenge fretboards are also beautiful, and match the cerulean color very well.

The guitar plays phenomenally. While the body is basswood, do not let that put you off. A lot of the cheaper guitars I've used throughout my life have had low grade basswood bodies, and believe me when I say that the basswood in this RG is definitely NOT the same cheap basswood you'd find in a budget guitar. The basswood body, wenge neck, and stainless steel frets make the guitar extraordinarily resonant and adds just the right balance of brightness and warmth. Given the sound profile of this RG, the DiMarzio PAF pickups are an excellent choice for this guitar in my opinion. The PAF pickups are quite versatile and handle distortion and clean well. For someone like me, who enjoys metal, post rock, math rock, and jazz, the PAF pickups are perfect.
