A striking model loaded with fixed bridge and Quantum pickups.
If Ibanez can lay claim to the title of being the strongest name in metal guitars, then the RG is the model this reputation was built on. Every inch of this classic screams speed, fury, and expression.
The RG7421PB is a 7-string electric built around a mahogany body with a handsomely figured poplar burl top. It features a 3-piece Wizard II-7 maple neck with a rosewood fretboard and jumbo frets—designed to maximize performance and player comfort. This combination provides a smooth, inviting playing surface and contributes to the RG7421PB’s warm, well-defined tonality.
A pair of proprietary Quantum 7 pickups produces an entire palette of thick, distorted tone textures that offer exceptional high-end articulation. A simple, yet solid fixed bridge provides stable, dependable tuning and accurate intonation. Case sold separately.

Comments about Ibanez RG Series RG7421PB 7-String Electric Guitar:
I bought this guitar for my son and think I may pick one up for myself. I have been playing various genres of music from age 8 till current at 42. Owned losts of guitars over the years and still own too many (according to my wife but according to me I could always use another) I have always been impressed with how much you get for the value in and Ibanez guitar. I own an RG 6 string that I keep in drop C and really enjoy playing it. I own two vintage reissue Fenders, a Gretsch, a Les Paul and still find myself nerding out on my Ibanez.
Anyway to the 7 string... plays great, looks great, the neck is comfortable to play even with the added string. As a noob to the 7 string world I found myself easily acclimating to how it all worked and after tuning to Drop A, found it even more familiar. Playing Thrice's Firebreather. The pickups sound good, great sounds in single as well as double coil settings.
