A Prestige model with high-output pickups, a fixed bridge, and extreme playability.

The RG1451 is the first Ibanez Prestige electric guitar with a fixed bridge. It's constructed with a lightweight basswood body and a 5-piece bolt-on maple/walnut neck with the amazingly fast, comfortable Wizard Prestige profile.

The Ibanez RG1451 has a 24-fret rosewood neck with a 25-1/2" scale. It is fitted with Ibanez V6F humbucking pickups that deliver a bright edgy sound that is suited for modern rock styles. All hardware is black chrome including die-cast tuners, Ibanez bridge, and master volume and tone controls.

Ibanez's Tight-End bridge
The RG1451 guitar's low-profile Ibanez Tight End bridge offers long sustain and bright tone. The saddles are firmly locked onto the base plate for maximum transfer of string vibration. They remain perfectly linear during intonation adjustment for the most accurate setup. Saddle height can be adjusted individually by a single screw. Also, the top side of the bridge is smooth finished. So if you play hard, the Tight-End bridge will forgive you and your hands.

Ibanez includes a gig bag with the RG1451 guitar.

Very Suprised ! Great Value

Comments about Ibanez RG1451 Prestige Electric Guitar:

Okay I actually sent into the store looking to buy a higher S series model and the store I went to just recieved a white version and from having a prestige and a Jem7v I gave it a try . At first glance I wasnt impressed with the new lock system but after sitting with it and realizing that the neck and overall feel was about there with my Jem I couldnt resist . I bought it . And let me tell you I have not played my other guitars .. The neck is smooth and FAST . the pickups actually were very responsive unlike alot of the S and RG which are usually very chunky and have what I feel is a buzz about them, this guitar sounds great from day one .. i wont even replace the pickups . The new way to change strings is very very user friendly and unlike the old trem not alot of work . Overall this is the most impressed I walked away in along time ! Even though this is the lowest Prestige model it is like a gibson to me ... The worst Gibson is better than the best Epiphone .. so any S series is far below this model . The only reason not to get this is if you love the S series body .. but I am telling you go play it .. and feel the neck when your fingers touch it there is no going back .

Best for the Money

Comments about Ibanez RG1451 Prestige Electric Guitar:

The Wizard II neck is the best neck I've ever played. I guess more accurately, it's my favorite neck I've ever played. It's super thin which is perfect for my lousy short fingers. It's satin finish back is remarkably fast. Those jumbo frets give it an almost scalloped feel which lets you glide across the neck.I have an Ibanez with the Floyd Rose Tremolo and I'm just not a big fan, which is why I bought this hard tail. The bridge is very sturdy and tight. It also has a low profile and is the most comfortable bridge on which I've ever palm muted. I was surprised at this guitar's light weight but it's sustain is nonetheless phenomenal. It's sustain is truly on par with the top of the line PRS guitars. The one place this guitar suffers, and why I didn't give it a perfect rating, is the pickups. The pickups are nothing special, very middle of the road. I knew this before I bought it and had a set of DiMarzio Breeds waiting which I installed immediately. If you buy this guitar I would suggest putting in some different pickups (it's actually a pretty easy job, I'd never done it before and didn't even mess it up once.)So with the guitar at $800 and some new pickups for around $150 you get a sub $1000 guitar that is just as good OR BETTER than instruments that are literally 3 to 5 times as expensive. I'm looking at you Gibson, PRS, and even other Ibanez guitars.
