Lefties can now join the growing legion of RG shredders.

The left-handed Ibanez RG1550M is a solidbody electric guitar with a 5-piece RG Wizard neck and Prestige finishing for supreme comfort. The guitar's neck is fitted with a 24-fret maple fingerboard with an ultra-flat 430mm radius, making 2-hand tapping a cinch. The RG1550M guitar features sonically lethal DiMarzio IBZ Pickups and the advaned Ibanez Edge Pro tremolo system. This Ibanez guitar is a metalhead's dream come true. Ibanez includes a deluxe Prestige hardshell case with the left-handed RG1550M guitar.

    The Ibanez Edge-PRO bridge
In the last 2 decades, no other guitar maker besides Ibanez has done so much to advance the art and science of the tremolo. The Edge-PRO trem represents the next phase in locking tremolos. To avoid the problem of string holder blocks getting lost during string changes, the Edge-PRO's sliding string holders are actually part of the bridge and won't drop from the saddle unit. With the Edge-PRO design, there's no need to cut off the ball end of your strings when installing new strings. The Edge-PRO features a unique Sound Metal Chip on each saddle which helps increase sustain right at the most critical area, the intonation point.

    Dimarzio IBZ Pickups
•Bridge: VINTAGE 8— Warm yet articulate lead pickup with enhanced overtones. Good harmonics without excessive brightness.
•Middle: SINGLE 1—Traditional-sounding yet high output single coil with Alnico-5 polepieces for even string output. Designed to work with humbuckers in the split position.
•Neck: VINTAGE 7—Tight, but bright. Very dynamic for chording and rhythm.

    RG1550ML

    By PHIL ALBERICO

It's a real nice looking guitar with a great tremolo. It plays really good and is great for leads and hard rock. They just need to improve quality, and put in better pickups for the price. If not, then lower the price.
Great tremolo system. Able to adjust trem bar postion and spring tension easily with dial on back of guitar. Pickups are good but I might replace bridge pickup down the road. Came with a really nice guitar case that form fits the guitar.
The neck is supposedly made by the finest luthiers in Japan. Well, they need better training. The neck looked fine until I gave a close look at it. I could see a small amount of glue coming out from almost halve the frets. It wasnt alot but enough to bother me. I had to take a fine toothpick and remove the glue. Then when I went to play it, the entire neck had sharp edges where the frets ended on both sides of guitar. I ended up sanding them down with a real fine sandpaper and it's better now, but not perfect.
Also the tone knob, turned all the way up would cut off the entire volume of guitar. I removed it a couple of times and eventually stopped cutting off.
Definately not worth $$$$. At least in my opinion. This should go for much less.
