I purchased this guitar last summer as a side guitar for performances. Well, everything about this guitar is great, once you start playing on it, you'll just find it hard to stop; its "addictive". The neck is pretty thin and fast. I dont know about the gold one but the silver one, the one that I own, looks sexy on stage. Notice how I described the good side of this guitar. Now, for the bad part about it. Its humbuckers are not as good as everyone says they are. Infact, they suck so I had to replace the "fake" dimarzios humbuckers for USA dimarzios. The middle pickup is just terrible so I wont comment on it. The floyd rose bridge's finish is already begining to rust. But the bad qualities of this guitar are not enough reason to say no to this Ibanez because its only drawbacks are its pickups, if you replace this guitar's pickups you will have an outstanding, one of a kind guitar. If your looking for an incredibly versatile guitar with complete relaxation, yes ladies and gentlemen, relaxation, extremely sexy looks and a great price, go for the RG2570e silver. Oh, I now use this guitar as my main instrument and my old american start as my side guitar on stage. :)
I tried this out at Musicstop the other day and I couldn't believe how nice it was considering the MSRP. No web picture can really do the textured finish justice. I played the "Gold" model, which really isn't gold. I don't know where they came up with gold but it is more like a lime green/yellow. It stands out, it's obnoxious, and you have to see it to appreciate it.The other comments best describe how it plays and sounds. I merely wanted to clarify the Gold color option, which is much different in person.I will be purchasing this over the 2620E. The 2570 technically is a cheaper, lower model guitar, but having played both, I cannot tell any difference in functionality at all. What I can tell since I have eyes in my head is the higher end 2620 does not even have inlay work, and less interesting paint.
i bought my 2570 in "05 and it was perfect "right out of the box".. it was set up perfect!!..the pups were actually decent too.. i switched mine out to evo's.. the neck, bridge and middle (ISCV2).. the neck is fast and thin like us ibanez players dig.. too bad they don't come with ebony boards.. oh well.. did i mention the edge pro trem?.. dang this thing is awesome.. i'm sold.. it's my favorite.. low, close to the body, able to take a beating and stay in tune, and flutters like hell.. and the finish on this guitar is cool, because it doesn't show fingertips.. buy one today!!.. don't waste your time on a non-prestige ibanez.. japan quality FTW!!!
its the best guitar ive ever played. for a petrucci, really professional, technical style of playing, you Need this guitar. the whammy bar does things you didnt even intend to do, but it sounds extremely sweet. If you can, get it.
I got this guitar about 2 months ago. the dimarzio/ibz pickups really bring out the clarity and tone of the guitar. the bridge humbucker has a very open and bright bite to it and brings out harmonics beautifully, while the neck pickup has more of a thick cutting darker tone, great for bleusy stuff and shredding. But the middle pickup isnt so great. the basswood body is very light for a guitar of that size and sounds amazing!! the neck is paper thin and is extreamly comfortable. it looks alot better in person than it does in the pictures. the edge pro trem allows for highly increased sustain while being able to take hours of divebombing torture and still staying perfectly in tune. Yet it is hard to take care of and VERRY frustrating to tune and change the strings. it's really sensitive and can freak out on you alot, so better save this one for the pros. overall, this guitar coulnt be better for experienced players. Beginners, just buy a strat.
This guitar is awesome i got it last week and i am extremely happy with it. I strongly recommend this guitar, the pickups are awesome, the neck is incredible and the look is way better than in the pictures. I have enver seen a gold one, i got a silver myself and it looks extremely cool. If you are looking at buying a guitar of this nature, this is the one to get.
I bought this guitar and modded the studs on the tremolo so they are locked in and this guitar takes a beating and never goes out of tune. The stock pickups are very good but I rather have true dimarzio's in it. I think the new gold color is ugly I got one of the last silver ones, lucky me. I recommend this guitar for anyone that likes a quality instrument that is good for any style of music.
