        The ultimate metal machine.

The RG3250MZ Presige is an all-Japanese-made axe inspired by the original 1987 RG’s that harkens back to '80s hard rock and heavy metal style with a black pickguard and matching color head stock, yet brimming with the latest innovations. The Super Wizard neck has ultra-thin, ultra-flat Wizard 17mm neck dimensions with 5-piece construction and titanium reinforcement bars for more strength.

The HSH pickup array consists of the powerful combination of DiMarzio® Air Norton™ in the neck position, DiMarzio® True Velvet™ in the middle and DiMarzio® Tone Zone® in the bridge. The Air Norton has deep and warm tone, but not muddy. It's hot, but not distorted. It's even got cool harmonics, which are really unusual for a neck humbucker. The True Velvet is a vintage-style single-coil pickup that's clean and bright, but designed to still sound sweet when picking above the 12th fret. The coil is tuned to a frequency range that’s bright but not thin. The Tone Zone is hot enough to qualify as a high-output pickup, but has a wider dynamic range--hard picking will produce a lot of power, and softer picking will be much cleaner and quieter. The 5-way pickup switch gives you the following choices: 1 - neck, 2 - neck humbucker inner coil + single-coil middle pickup, 3 - Single-coil, 4 - Single-coil + bridge humbucker inner coil, 5 - bridge humbucker.

The Edge Zero bridge with ZPS3 spring system allows for the most radical of trem effects with flawless tuning accuracy.

Comments about Ibanez RG3250MZ Prestige Electric Guitar:

If you like thin necks, this is an awesome feeling guitar. I love the necks, which I've never had to adjust for any reason. They seem bulletproof. I've had two Jacksons and one Charvel with bolt-on necks that wound up with warped or twisted necks. The neck on this guitar is thinner than my other guitars, and gives the sensation that the fretboard is wider. I own two older guitars of this model, one of which I keep tuned down a half step, and the other with different pickups, but I like this one best with the maple fretboard and loaded pick guard, which has an even thinner neck and makes it easier to change pickups. After owning these, I hardly play my other guitars anymore. I don't care much for the sound of the pickups in the neck and middle position, which to me, doesn't even resemble the sound of a Fender Strat with those two single coils together, and I thought that was the whole point.
