OVERVIEW

A legendary metal axe sharpens its blade a bit more.

The Ibanez RG350EX Electric Guitar takes the RG series further into the metal zone. Many players have selected the Ibanez RG as their weapon of choice for triggering sonic mayhem on the metal masses. With the right choice of pickups, flat and fast bolt-on neck and double-locking trems, the Ibanez RG Guitar has dive bombed and crunched its way to classic status. Though it rocks heavy, this electric guitar is made of comparatively lightweight basswood, which makes it very comfortable for extended playing. With a good balance of highs and lows, basswood is between alder and mahogany in sound character. 24 jumbo frets and a fast Wizard II neck offer easy playing for leads and rhythm, and an Edge III bridge offers great tremolo control.

I have the exacty same guitar with a diffrent paint job, it plays amazing!!!! the neck is as thin if not thinner then a jackson soloist!!! i've owned it for about 2 years and it has very amazing tone, it sounds great with a peavey vyper amp, and the edge trem is amazing, I can dive-bomb all day long and the strings wont go out of tune!!!! I've played tons of gibsons and when it comes to the action this guitar outdoes all of them easily. I would deffinetally buy this guitar again if it were broken or stollen. its a great guitar the only complaint I have is that its pretty heavy.

This RG350 is the 3rd Ibanez I've owned and it is the last. The pickups were good but I had significant neck issues. Poorly finished, bad fret edges that were hard on the hands and fingers. Could not get rid of the low E string buzz no matter how many times I readjusted and set up this guitar. All 3 of the Ibanez that I have owned have had poor fret edge finishing. I like the feel and size of the neck otherwise. Also had issues with keeping guitar in tune. I believe it was a combination of issues; the trem, the neck etc. I prefer to play with 10's and maybe they were just too heavy for this setup. I also had a scratchy selector switch. I have had 3 just to be sure it wasn't me and I have gotten rid of all 3 for similar reasons. I like the way they look but don't like the way they feel.
Floyd Rose Double Locking Tremolo which I could not keep in tune.
This is the 3rd time I have owned an Ibanez and this is the 3rd time I have been disappointed with the neck.
A product that you don't like is never a good value.

Great Guitar, but know how to take care of it.

By Ethan Simpson

from Oregon, USA

This guitar is a good guitar, and has a fairly heavy, sizeable body, and a fast shredding neck. The fretboard is a very nice, slick, playable board. the neck is significantly wider then other, more expensive Ibanez guitars, and flatter. this makes it play a little differently then i would have liked, but after a little bit of getting used to, it shreds among the more expensive models.

The pickups are very hot, I spent a little time adjusting to my taste, the neck being warm, and dynamic, and the bridge being another nice sound, without being too brittle. the middle pickup is noisy, as expected, but the tones that it gives are awesome, especially the 2 & 4 positions, nice glassy cleans, and dirty bluesy tones.

My biggest complaint is that the tremolo is fairly cheap metal, the springs that came with it, were very weak, i put a set of tens on it, and had to buy new springs, and after that i had it professoinally set up, and it still wouldnt stay in tune. I ended up blocking it off.
Over all a good guitar, its a better shredder then many other guitars, if you are a lead guitarist, this will definately work for you on a budget.

Awesome Guitar!

By Anonymous

its the most awesome guitar ever. Ibanez rocks! The weight is light compared to Les Pauls and it sounds awesome through a marshall amp and a distortion pedal. The pups could be better but its one awesome guitar, Recomended for everyone.

A good gigging guitar.

By germs_LA

from Deep South

I bought mine b/c I wanted a double locking trem setup. Ibanez seemed like the way to go.Pup's are nothing to get excited over, but they sound OK. Definitely on par with what's being put on other imports in the same price range - higher output for sure, even on the SC.Negatives: Edge 3 likes to go out of tune, even after a single divebomb. You need to pull up slightly to return to pitch. I would have liked to have seen a coil-tap, and another tone knob as well...BUT the guitar's purpose built for ROCK, and I really shouldn't be complaining at this price. Except for the tuning issue. That could be better.

One Execelent tough AXE !

By Rock Monster-sTj2m

from Rowlett,Texas

I have owned and played numerous guitars thru my 35 years playing. And I made a mistake one day and picked up one of these babies at the shop. And man it was the Best thing I've ever done. stays in Tune well! Sounds decent.I have put 8's slinkes on it after i got it. And it even enhanced the easy playing. I play lead and rythem alot and it has a gentle feel on the wide neck. The Infinity pups are ok had better. But It will do for now. Has a little noise on some of them. Going to check the solder joints.Get you one you will not regret it !!! Rock Monster !!!

Metal dream

By ChandlerLP

from ALABAMA

I bought this guitar back in Feb 09 and it still plays great. the only thing i did not like was the single coil. I did however put some EMG's in this thing. I quickly realized it wasnt built to have EMG's in it but it made it one of a kind. This is a GREAT GUITAR for the money. BUY IT

Great gitar

By Domencio001

from Every where

This is a very good guitar. It has really good sound. I like the floyde rose tremolo, thats oneof the things i look ffor when buying a guitar. The bad thing about this guitar is the tuning. Its really hard to do alternate tuning without breaking your string. This could be the case with all floyde roses. But when i first got the guitar i was basically ready as is. I just needed to slightly ajdust the action cause i prefer it pretty low like most people. Its realy good for playing metal and metal lead. Ive hd it for a while now, i think ever since june of 09. I havent really had anyy major problems with it,just the tuning and mabe thats cause i was using bad strings. I still recomend you buy this guitar. It also looks sweet.

I was looking for a new guitar to take my playing to the next level so I picked up this one. I was originally going to get a schecter but after I picked up this rg in the shop I loved it. Everyone talks bad about ibanez but this is the best feeling and playing guitar I have ever touched in my life. my only complaint is the single coil which has a really cheap sound to it. Other than that I love this guitar and I have found a new love for the ibanez rg
