The Infinity 3 (INF3) humbucking pickup has a ceramic magnet and provides dynamic sound for chording and rhythm. The Infinity Single 3 (INFS3) is a single-coil pickup with an alnico magnet. It has a traditional sound yet yields higher output for modern rock. It is designed to work with the humbuckers in the split position. The Infinity 4 is a humbucking pickup with an alnico magnet and has a brilliant tone for lead work. It's warm and generates good harmonics.

I bought this as a backup guitar and something to play more fast oriented solos and technical works. I was pleasantly surprised with the stock setup and finish. Very clean and few adjustments needed. Its a great guitar for the price, the only reason I gave 4.5's was the stock pickups are nothing to get excited about. But I bought the guitar with the intention of replacing them so no big deal.
i have played a number of guitars over the years I'm a big joe satch fan and like to play like he does but have been using a fender strat for the past 9 years' so i finally decided to get an ibanez and with the added frets fender 21 and this one 24 so you get those xtra high notes' and the pick ups are fine stock i get great sound it's all in the amp and processor i use so over all great guitar'
I bought this to replace an esp ltd and man do i now love ibanez. This guitar sound and looks great. The pickups are average but still sound good. The black hardware is a as well.
this guitar is great as far as playability and construction the one and only feature that isn't amazing on this guitar are the pickups which are not amazing but still pretty good the pickups have the tonal characteristics of a duncan jb (crunchy,a little trebley, pretty chunky) with just a little less output but if you have the money to change pickups its a definant buy if not you'd still be making a good choice
Frankly, I've always been a little skeptical of stock guitars period. However, after getting a great deal on this Ibanez, that has changed (as far as Ibanez is concerned, at least). The neck is nice and fast, I love the locking trem, and the finish is WAY cooler looking than I expected. The picture here doesn't do it justice. The pickups are great for stock pickups. I'll probably switch them out for some DiMarzios later on, but I love this guitar the way it is right now.I especially love that the bolt-on neck and the cutaway are deep enough for me to hit those high notes and it makes sweeping SO much easier.Thank you Ibanez for a great product.
