Comments about Ibanez RG351DX Electric Guitar:

Because of the price and quality I must give this guitar a 10 - Fantastic.
Bought this guitar and I have to say was pretty amazed at the high quality for the price. Usualy this type of quality is only found in much more expensive models. The body and neck are solid, The tuning machines are surprisinly smooth and hold the tune once the strings settle in.

The neck is good quality maple with a bound very nice rosewood fretboard. The frets are smooth on the edges which compliments the fast playing neck.I found it very comfortable for fast playing.

The basswood body and pickup combination have a great clean sound and a pretty good distortion quality out of my Mesa boogie lonestar special all tube amp. I see no reason to swap out pickups in this beauty unless one dies.
For the price paid the quality is outstanding.
For a slim neck fast playing guitar you cannot go wrong with this new model. Usually a guitar such as this will skyrocket in price once the word gets around. I have owned PRS's, High end Gibsons and Fender guitars. They are all fantastic guitars, but none which gave me the satisfaction as did this model for the price paid.

Comments about Ibanez RG351DX Electric Guitar:

This is my 2nd Ibanez and 1st RG. My other is 420S model. I bought the RG351 because I wanted a fixed bridge Ibanez. It came out of the box setup very nicely. Didn't need to adjust the intonation, neck or string height. For the price point it is a very well made guitar. However, it is obvious that Ibanez saves their money on this model by barely dressing the frets. They are level and there is no buzz, but when you go to bend strings, you encounter a lot of resistance and scraping noises. Not just one or two places on the neck...EVERYWHERE! Looking with a magnifying glass I could see rough marks on every fret where they had been levelled, but not properly crowned or polished. I am going to have to take this to my local luthier to get the frets crowned and poliched, which will probably cost me $100. I thought about sending it back, but with return shipping costs and hassle, it wasn't worth it. I do like the guitar but HATE the factory fret job. After I spend money on a proper fret job, I'm sure it will play like butter. I am a bit diappointed overall.
