    A versatile, affordable rocker's weapon.

The Ibanez RG370DX electric guitar's pickups and pickup placement provide the hard-edged cutting tone needed for heavy rock.

Since 1987, many players have selected the Ibanez RG as their weapon of choice for visiting sonic mayhem on the metal masses. With the right choice of pickups and flat, fast necks, the RG has crunched its way to classic status.

As heavy as it rocks, the RG370DX guitar is made of basswood, a comparatively lightweight wood, which makes it very comfortable for extended playing. With a good balance of highs and lows, basswood is right in between alder and mahogany in sound character. 24 jumbo frets offer easy playing for leads and chording and the Edge II tremolo bridge lets you dive bomb all night long.

Comments about Ibanez RG370DX Electric Guitar:

I bought this guitar for my 16 year old son for XMAS and he loves it! He says the neck is fast and he also loved the whammy bar. I didn't want to spend a ton of money and honestly didn't think we could afford to get him one. This was on sale with 15% off free shipping. This was a great buy and a great guitar for the price.

Comments about Ibanez RG370DX Electric Guitar:

I own many guitars, including signature Ibanez models in the $2000 range. I've switched to playing RG's for the time being, because sweeping is easier on the flatter fretboards for me. This guitar is excellent in almost every way. It came almost perfectly set up. I can shred this thing better than any guitar in my (extensive) collection. The tremolo stays in tune even after ridiculous abuse, and the pickups even sound fine to me. Through my full marshall stack it has a beautiful, silver tone for leads (which is all I play). The only problem with this guitar is that Ibanez switched to using the Edge Zero II tremolos for this and other models. Although the Edge Zero may be better in some regards to the old Edge III, it lacks sustain due to the ridiculously small block in the back. The Zero device, which is unusable for Vai/Satriani-style playing, is easy to remove, though leaving it in might improve sustain (?). The biggest problem, though, is that this tremolo uses a wider post spacing, which means that you can't replace this lousy tremolo with a good one, unless you pay a luthier to redrill and move the posts closer together. Also, while aftermarket blocks are available for the Edge III to improve sustain, they're not (yet) available for the Edge Zeros. Nevertheless, the sustain in this guitar is just barely enough to live with, so for now this my new main guitar. (PS, the pictured guitar has a black headstock, but the one I received has a white headstock, probably because when Ibanez updated the tremolo on this model they also updated the headstock, but the photo hasn't been updated to reflect that)

      Deadly Beast

Comments about Ibanez RG370DX Electric Guitar:

Excellent guitar. The only reason I wouldn't give it a full 10/10 is because this guitar lacks sustain in the notes compared to my other guitars. But that is not too much of a problem though, so don't let it keep you from buying the guitar. One of my favorite things on the RG370DX is that it stays in tune really well. I could lift this thing by its strings and it wtill wouldnt go out of tune. It does not have a real Floyd Rose on it and this is usually a real turnoff for buyers, but it does what it is supposed to do just like a Floyd Rose does so I won't take off points for that.
Comes with Infinity pickups. They are decent but you could definitely go higher. I installed Seymour Duncan Invaders and they sound great for heavy playing.
Worth way more than you are paying.

IBZ INF4 Pickups vs. Seymour Duncan SH-8 Invaders

Comments about Ibanez RG370DX Electric Guitar:

I bought this guitar today used. After setting up the Edge III floyed rose, I plugged it in and it sounds pretty darn good! For the few riffs that I've played so far, I can say that I like the bridge and the middle IBZ INF pickups better than the Seymour Duncan Invader SH-8 pickups I have on my Jackson guitar. I can't really say much yet, other than I like the pickups. I haven't really experienced the full range of sound the pickups have to offer. I am sure there will be some things I like more about the Invader SH-8 pickups but the IBZ INF pickups sound awesome without a doubt! This is a really nice guitar with some sweet sounding pickups in my oinion. I play through the Boss MT-2 Metal Zone Pedal and a Fender Amp.

      Awesome Axe

      By Jim-Mv8uE

Comments about Ibanez RG370DX Electric Guitar:

This guitar sounds good, looks good and is quality built with great features. I can play everything from metal to country, with the 5 position switch and the HSH setup. I can't believe the price on this guitar. Unless you are some kind of guitar snob you gonna love this one. I have no hesitation it recommending this guitar.
The features on this guitar should be on a guitar that costs twice as much.
Top Shelf. As good as my American Standard Telecaster which cost three times as much. Great action, awsome neck right out of the box.
For the money it's a steal.

      Ibanez RG370DX

Comments about Ibanez RG370DX Electric Guitar:

This guitar really is a great sounding guitar but with the tremolo it has, i just cant keep it in tune. the clean sound is a bit dull sounding but sounds great with distortion. i really would love this guitar if not for the sorry floating trem it has on it. if you dont mind taking the locking tuners on and off about twice a week to tune it, then its great.

Comments about Ibanez RG370DX Electric Guitar:

The quality of this guitar is great but the junkthey put on it is sad. The tremelo is not a floyd rose and feels uncomfortable the whamy bar isnt screw in so it comes out easy. but the neck and body are very nice.I would not buy one of these again.

      I got a DEAL !!!

Comments about Ibanez RG370DX Electric Guitar:

Just got one in Blue Haze for $120 off Craigslist and couldn't be more happy. It has a sweet smooth bound neck and smokin' hot pickup's ! I personaly own over 30 guitars and been wanting an Ibanez for a while but didn't want to shell out $1000 for one, Waiting pays off man ! It may not be a Prestige or Jem777 but I'm not complaining at all. It came without a trem arm so off to find one so I can really kick its tire's after I slap some Super Slinky's on it and set the intonation. DO NOT under-estimate Indonesian guitars cuz this guy is a serious player. I may have to shell out some cash for a Vai model someday but for now the RG370DX is JUST FINE ! I LOVE Musicians Friend, They keep US rockin' !!

      Amazing.

Comments about Ibanez RG370DX Electric Guitar:

I bought this guitar a couple months ago, and i've loved every second of it. even after my stand threw it and peeled a fret up. ITS AMAZING EVEN WITHOUT A FRET. The bridge, like all floyds can be a pain, but thats just cause its a floyd. Keeps in tune, sounds good, and easy to fly around on.
