Bought the red brick version. Very nice. It will take some getting used to the pickups. How to approach them is something to be learned. Very strange configuration of the pickups. Look online to see what I mean. I am tempted to remove the brick cuts and put a quarter inch of mahogany for the top with black binding. I will put a Satriani pickup in the bridge and not sure of what to put in the neck position. I have my own ideas about pickups and wiring than Ibanez. I am a DiMarzio pickup person. I am never fully satisfied with anything so do not consider my changes because this instrument is not right. I just customize things and this may be a good thing to suit my sound. Ibanez is awesome with this guitar. Buy it for sure. I did. Ibanez is a serious company and approaching this is a learning thing and I have and do own other Ibanez's. They are not grab and play. They take a meticulous approach that gives you options. Do not listen to folks that can't set up this tremolo. It is fine if you know what you are doing. Most don't know how to set up this type of trem. It came perfectly set up but intonated sharp. That is o.k. Built like a brick ___ house. Rock on.

A student of mine bought this guitar and brought it into the shop for a string change just this week. I have to admit, for the money this guitar has great sound, unique looks, and a neck which drives like a Cadillac. However, it will NOT stay in tune if you use the whammy bar. I don't care how much time you spend prestretching the strings, fine tuning, etc.;Dive bomb it one time and it's out of tune. My advice: save your money and purchase a higher end Ibanez, preferably one with either an Edge Pro or ZR tremolo. The Edge III is a piece of crap.

Sweet Metal Guitar

I've been playing for almost 20 years. Have owned a few Ibanez, a bunch of Strats and Teles, Boutique Amps and all the rest. I got this a couple of months ago and I love it. I did have trouble keeping it in tune at 1st, BUT...once I learned the proper angle to keep the trem I HAVEN'T HAD A PROBLEM SINCE! The sounds are great. Very round sounding in the neck and thick at the bridge (perfect for high gain without getting muddy). Very fast neck. I admit it took me a couple weeks to dial it in when I changed my strings to 10s and tuned to drop D, but I had the trem set too far back. Angle it forward and it works flawlessly. Perfect intonation and I can Divebomb all night with very little adjustments. Very good guitar.

I bought this guitar about a week ago. I have to say it is one of the best guitars for the value. I run it through my Marshall MG15DFX as well as my Marshall stack and everything on this guitar is crystal clear. I recommend this piece for beginners and experienced players alike

I just bought the spider web version. I have to say it's been one of my better buys! I love the neck and the playability of it...very fast and I can get the action low like I like it. The tremolo took a few days to get adjusted but I got it and now it stays in tune. It looks cool but the only thing I'm not sold on is the body texture...it's like a slab of 60 grit sand paper. All in all I love it!

best feeling

By HeavyLorde

from Undisclosed

this is the best feeling guitar Ive ever played. perfectly balanced and beveled and the all access neck joint means you can reach that 24th fret even when your standing and your guitar is hanging low. its as comfortable to play standing as sitting; a rarity. the v7 and v8 pickups sound amazing with the coil tapped and parallel wiring, but have NO attack and low output in series.after i throw an x2n in the bridge and an Air Norton in the neck im expecting this guitar to be my main axe (over a hamer and a high end jackson) ps. the edge 3 is great, confusing to set up, but once its set, has the less friction and more control than an original floyd

ive been playing for about a year and have played many of guitars to find my "perfect" sound. And as soon as i tuned this bad boy up and got ready to play i was instantly amazed by how tight and how fat the neck and bridge pickups are. The feel of the body blows your mind away. I would def. recommend this to any player between beginner, recording atrtist etc.

When I ordered this guitar, I have to admit, I thought it was gonna be cool but not last long at all. When it came tho, let me tell you, I was shocked hardore! The lines on it are carved out! It has a awesome tremolo system on it. IT sounds ou of this world! It totally tops any Strat. Its better SOUNDING than a strat. I think it should be worth more! Its so awesome! I absolutly love this Axe! ~ ROCK ON!
