Ibanez

A dream guitar for southpaws shredders!

The left-handed Ibanez RG5EX1 electric guitar has a basswood body with a bound 24-fret, 3-piece Wizard II neck for fast and effortless shredding. Aesthetic touches include sharktooth fingerboard inlays and black hardware.

Infinity Pickups
The Infinity 3 (INF3) humbucking pickup has a ceramic magnet and delivers dynamic tones for chording and rhythm. The Infinity Single 3 (INFS3) is a single-coil pickup with an Alcico magnet and has a traditional-sound with the higher output demanded by modern music. It is designed to work with the humbuckers in the split position. The Infinity 4 is a humbucking pickup with an Alnico magnet and has a brilliant tone for lead work. It's warm and generates good harmonics.

Edge III tremolo
The Edge III tremolo has lower profile fine tuners for better palm comfort and provides strength and extraordinary tuning stability even under the most demanding playing conditions. The diabolical, double-locking Edge III bridge lets you get into radical tremolo territory while retaining total tuning stability.

For two decades, the legion of Ibanez RG warriors has grown like a virus, thrusting the RG guitar to the head of the metal pack. The Ibanez RG's fast, flat necks, rabid pickups, and double-locking tremolos deliver demonically charged sounds that go far beyond the world of mere mortals.

Ibanez really did a nice job. This guitar has everything: sweet tone, super fast neck, awesome tremolo system and of course a sexy look. Once you tuned it, you can do anything with the tremolo and it will stay in tune forever. Mine has Seymour Duncan Invaders picks-ups and I plug it into a Vox Tonelab ST. Its awesome!! I used to play with a Squier and this changed everything. I love Strats and this everything but a Strat, but it made me love playoing guitar even more. It's been hard for me to find an affordable and awesome left-handed guitar. This was THE deal. This only thing I would wish for would be: a maple neck, a tremolo bar that locks and a Marshall JCM-2000 amp (but this has nothing to do with the guitar). So here is my conclusion: This guitar is THE best left-handed guitar you can find for around 400$. The quality I have for the price I paid made me a happy musician. Thank you Ibanez. Seriously.

It has been a long time since I played guitar and I always have wanted a good Ibanez. This guitar sounds great and combined with my Line 6 Spider 4, it has a pretty limitless range of playability. This guitar has met and exceeded every expectation I had when ordering and I encourage lefties to give it a whirl. Also, I didn't think I'd like the flat finish but the pic does it no justice. It's a beautiful guitar and I have yet to see a fingerprint on it. I love the flat finish and color!

Well, I'll start off by saying that I just might have gotten a lemon, but you tell me. First, I got this guitar in the mail and loved it. But...the screws that locked down the tremolo were stripped.....so I called up MF and sent it back and got a new one. Oh joy, these screws were stripped too. So, instead of waiting another 2 weeks I went to the hardware store, bought new screws, made new threads in the nut, and good as new! The tremolo now works perfectly, even though I probably voided the warranty. Next up, pickups. The single coil hums like no other, and the bridge pickup kind of echoes when you stop playing. I also gave it a beautiful custom paint job(since gray is kinda of plain). The action=perfect(even though I did have to adjust for fret buzz once), Neck=thin(to my liking), finish is great. Overall, I do really do like this guitar a lot besides all my problems. It plays great, go get it if you're a lefty, but be ready for some fixes/mods.
