Comments about Ibanez RGA72TQME Electric Guitar:

    Design
This guitar comes with a set in neck, EMG´s 81/85, Edge Zero Bridge ZPS, Mahogany body with a quilted maple top. This model is similar to the ESP Horizon but way much affordable but still high quality. The finishing's of the instrument are high quality, almost the same of the Premium models, except for the neck and frets where lacks the hand made details of the Prestige models. But in favor has the set in bridge which increases the sustain. Also the back of the neck has a painted finish which I find very professional. The bridge is excelent, it´s very innovative due to the ZPS and almost doesn´t tune out. It feels more rigid than normal Ibanez bridges.

    Playability
What I found in first hand was how light it is. Despite having a similar body to an RG, is way much lighter. The neck is fast, the body is comfortable, and in my opinion is a mixture from RG and S models.

    Sound
I play mostly progressive/power metal and this guitar is very useful for playing the metal rhythm riffs. Has a fat, broad and aggressive tone with adequate bottom end. For solos has an aggressive tone, similar to those of Trivium/Machine Head. The sustain of the guitar is good, due to the set in neck and bridge. I was not convinced for clean tones, for this I prefer my other Ibanez guitars equipped with DiMarzio passive pickups, the EMG´s are too compressed for cleans.

In general, this guitar doesn't have the attention it deserves, it's a hidden treasure! It has the same level of a Premium guitar and specially design to play aggressive styles of musik!

    killer guitar

    By Cohen Anderson

Comments about Ibanez RGA72TQME Electric Guitar:

I am very happy with this guitar. I was scared of the EMGs. This is my first emg guitar. I mainly play dimarzio d-activators, evos, evo2, HS-3, etc. But I've gotta say...these EMGs are AWESOME. I love them just as much as my evos. Great clarity and sustain. For the short time I've played this guitar....it seems for cleaner tones i prefer passive pickups, but these emgs are great for any distortion and smooth distortion solo tones. They don't dial down as well as the dimarzios i usually play...but they still do a good job. MY ONLY COMPLAINT about this guitar are the inlays....i wanted snakefang inlays...but it's cool. and for poeple that have never played without inlays and are curious about this guitar...dont "fret" (haha). you wont get lost, etc. while playing. your mind actually pays more attention to the dots on the top of the neck more than the inlays on the fretboard now go enjoy this awesome guitar.
very nice hardware, bridge system is great, EMGs, neck thru, 3 way switch.
got 15% of from musiciansfriend. saved 150$ after buying this guitar & case. the hardware is killer. tuning keys feel like grovers, top notch. tremolo system is awesome. it's very tight and solid feeling. whammy bar screws on, unlike the lower end ibanez guitars, their whammy bars just slide in a hole... neck is smooth and plays well like all ibanezes.

    Nice guitar

    By Thomas LeDuc

Comments about Ibanez RGA72TQME Electric Guitar:

Overall id buy it again. nice smooth fast neck with great low action and easy to set up on your own if you have any general guitar knowledge how to instead of 90 bucks at guitar center for a guy too. only thing ive heard from other people and its slight but not too big is the VOL knob is really close to the string and your hand or while strumming some say its in the way but i can see what they are talking about if you look at it. other than that knob seems to be flawless to me.
Id buy this gutiar again for a different tuning. Setting the guitar up yourself is really easy and takes no time at all with egde 3 locking system versus a lot of messing with on my floyd rose to get it just right. Mine was suppose to come with a whammy but was missing but not too big of a deal trying to get it replaced. The action is super low and fast. normal jumbo frets and everything compared to me others but is super tight, small, and slick. i have shorter fingers so not too much of a adventage but very fast neck and the low action is nice. i like the no inlays on it besides at the 12th it does have dots though on top so you can see but if you know how to play guitar you dont need the inlays. I currently have it in Drop B or Drop C and the emg's on them are really nice. dont have much to complain yet or anything except i want another.
