The insanely playable RGA is now elegantly topped with quilted maple.
The RGA archtop guitar not only has hot curves but playability. For live performance, its lightweight body gives players more freedom to prowl around stage. The arched top also lets players knock down heavy riffs and power chords without hitting the guitar body. All told, curved beauty and great performance combine gracefully and powerfully in the RGA. And now, it's available with a beautiful quilted maple top.

Comments about Ibanez RGA7QM 7-String Electric Guitar:
The RGA7QM is an all-around great guitar. The finish in the image is a bit misleading. When I first pulled the guitar out I thought I was sent a black one by mistake the gray is so dark. But in the right light it is absolutly beautiful. Right now the guitar is set up with 11-64 gauge strings tuned to a dropped-g and stays in tune very well. Surprisingly well actually.
Everything about the feel and playability of the guitar is spot on. It is soooo much more comfortable to play than my Les Paul that the LP hasn't been touched since I got the Ibby (about 1.5 months). The RGA7QM makes the transition from 6 string to 7 string pretty easy as well because of thin neck. However I would like to see the RGA body with a 26.5" neck.
Most of you probably allready know what is wrong with this guitar. The pickups. They aren't that bad if you take the whole package into consideration with the price you pay but Ibanez could step up their game when it comes to pickups. The good news is SD Blackouts went in without a problem and was a HUGE improvement. But also bumps the overall price to $800.00+ with the upgrade. And you will want to upgrade.
Bottom line: stock guitar=4/5, with your preferred pickups 5/5
