There are no words to describe this instrument, it really is THE BEST!
I have been playing seriously for over three decades and own some great axes, from Parker, to Taylor, to Fender. I know quality instruments. Therefore, I can speak on some authority when I say that this Axe is an excellent value. Even as I removed the case from the shipping box, it was evident that this guitar was something special. The case is a hardshell beauty which will cradle this axe in "loving" comfort. But the best part, of course, was the guitar itself. It's obvious that this axe is crafted with high quality materials. Plugging it in, I was amazed at the tones I could coax from its pickups. The global tone control is especially sensitive and affords the seasoned player an array of tonal colors. The feel of the neck is incredible: ultra thin and lighting fast. That's saying something, since the factory set-up on guitars is always less than adequate for me. Intonation is perfect and the Edge Pro tremolo allows you to dive-bomb with impunity, yet it stays in perfect tune. In short, I love this guitar and enthusiastically recommend it.
I bought this guitar since I like Ibanez, and last month I destroyed my Jackson Soloist during a gig. I wanted something that didn't cost me a whole bloody fortune, but would still pack a punch. I found it. I was at my local music store when I saw this hanging on the wall. I asked them to pull it down and let me try it out. It was great. The bridge is held in well, the neck is very quick, and despite the pickup's manufacturer, they're actually quite powerful. The pickups give off a ton of hot tone, but don't respond incredibly well with distortion, but still pretty well. Overall, this is a very good buy, but maybe should be a little cheaper or add a tremolo.
I bought this guitar at a local music store just last month and it is absolutely unbelievable! I fell in love with it the second I played my first note. The Wizard Prestige neck is so fast! The Japanese Ibanez team did one hell of a job with this guitar. The highest quality materials possible. I gave it 4.5 in features because the pickups could be a little bit better, but I put in a DiMarzio Evo 2 in the bridge and neck, and a YJM in the middle and I have no more complaints. AMAZING guitar! Worth every penny.
I went into a music shop the other day and asked the guy about his RG prestige models, and this is what he pulled out. right off the bat, i saw that it was incredibly light compared to the other models. The finish has a strange texture to it that really makes it un-scratchable! I plugged it into a line 6 spider III and started ripping away.the clean tone is as astounding as the distorted tone. I've been playing an RG350DX for awhile now and i thought the 3 piece Wizard II neck was fast; i was wrong. the 5 piece wizard prestige is even thinner and faster. an absolutely comfortable guitar. I really didn't get to play with the floyd rose that much, but i might be going on a limb saying this but, i think this is a JEM without the steve vai name!
I bought this guitar about a month ago and I have to say its playability is amazing, and the neck is incredible. Also, my guitar has Piezo pickups in it which sound incredible when playing ballads. But I have to say the V7's and V8's are not what I expected. My Epiphone les paul custom with EMG 81/85 has better sound. And the action on this guitar isn't as great as I figured it wouldve been. But overall it's a very nice guitar.
