OVERVIEW

An asymmetrical, double-cutaway body with bolt-on neck and dual humbuckers.

For the guitarist looking to distinguish themselves from the masses, Ibanez is proud to present the Roadcore Series. Representing an alternative to the overexposed models of yore, the RC320 provides access to classic sounds and tones while offering options to create something unique. The Roadcore Series represents a new path to a tonal palate designed to inspire and animate creativity.

Visually, the RC320 recreates a vintage vibe with an asymmetrical, double cutaway body and dual binding. At the heart of the guitar is a mahogany body combined with a bolt-on maple neck to create a warm, balanced tone. A rosewood fingerboard with gloss neck back finish and medium frets produces a familiar, comfortable feel for players of all styles. Thru the body stringing and the Ibanez exclusive Tight-Tune bridge improves sustain and tuning stability while facilitating quick, easy string changes. Looks great but the sound was off. I really like Ibanez guitars, but this guitar, as cool as it looks, was a non keeper. The craftsmanship was excellent, but that's not enough.

Comments about Ibanez Roadcore Series RC320 Electric Guitar:

I picked up a deal on a black one. Had I waited I would have gotten the red one. Now they have another model with an all maple neck and wood and vintage look that I'm going to pickup. I have a bunch of guitars but this one feels the best. Body is the right size and the neck feels superb. Granted I don't have the biggest hands I cannot vouch for all. I get a very secure feeling when playing chords and notes unlike some of my Telecasters. The weight distribution between neck and body is perfect. I did upgrade the pickups and like the Mean P90 in the bridge. I have yet to come to the conclusion about a good neck pickup since the Mean P90 neck has some mud if the tone isn't turned all the way up and even then. The knobs are so so. Metal but look like plastic so I will change. Not really sure if I need to do any electronic upgrades but I'm suspiscous with the muddy neck. It has 2 250k pots and a .022F tone capacitator. I love this guitar in jet black even though my wife isn't thrilled about it. There's something really nice about the rosewood fretboard and vintage colored maple neck wood. My ART100 neck looks like dudu compared to this. My SG Special is more on par with this one but maybe not as long. With everyone clattering over the Telecasters this is an overlooked gem. Look for dgriffis01 on youtube to see and hear what it sounds like. It's a good guitar and it fits me perfectly.

Comments about Ibanez Roadcore Series RC320 Electric Guitar:

This guitar has so much going for it. The tone and feel is perfect for me. The medium weight is very well balanced. I can get some really good songs out of it. Very well crafted. Plugged through my Line 6, the variety is even greater. The only thing I was concerned with when it arrived, was that the fretboard was a little on the dry side. But I oiled it up and that was that. It came with D'Addario strings, that I am unaccustomed to, but I will be buying this strings more often. Overall a great guitar that always gets played. This one is built to play and feels very durable. I can pat myself on the back with this one. I haven't read a lot of reviews on the guitar, so I feel that I got on the ground floor with this one. Enjoy!!

Next time take advantage their 45-day Lowest Price Commitment policy described at http://www.musiciansfriend.com/pages/lowest-price. I did after purchasing this guitar on their SDOTD and it went on sale again at a lower price within 45 days.

Comments about Ibanez Roadcore Series RC320 Electric Guitar:

Professional reviewers have correctly pointed out that this Ibanez is quite different from that company's other solidbodies. Neck is a little bit Fender-like; fretboard isn't a flat shredder-type neck; dual humbuckers have a lot of output but aren't muddy. The middle position has some chimey Strat-like tones, and the bridge position has some Tele-esque bite, but the sound is different from those other guitars. This is the first string-through-body I've owned, and that detail makes for quite a big increase in sustain.

Body is interesting looking and cool, IMO. Not a lightweight guitar, but substantial and well-made.

The fact that I snagged it on MF's SDoTD makes me extra happy. Cool axe!
