A poplar burl top, fast Wizard neck and versatile electronics.
Ibanez's marvel of form and function, the S Series, continues to evolve for todays player. Cloaked in a gorgeous Poplar Burl top, a bound Rosewood fingerboard features jumbo frets. Lurking beneath the S Series graceful 3-D shape is Mahogany specifically chosen for S Series instruments. Light enough amaze in terms of comfort, heavy enough to provide the tone and sustain that players expect from the S Series.
As the originators of the thin, fast neck, the Wizard III neck is yet another achievement in playability, providing the kind of comfort that translates to responsiveness and speed. The best of all world's humbucker/ single-coil/ humbucker configuration provides an impressive palette of tone textures.

Comments about Ibanez S-Series S771PB Electric Guitar:
This guitar is overall an excellent instrument that looks and feels amazing. The wood finish on the back is absolutely gorgeous and the front "grey" finish is actually darker than what the pictures online show. It's almost a dark greyish-blue, looks nearly black in low lighting. The neck is super fast and out of the box I personally liked the action (though I would have it set up if detuning, I noticed some fret buzz on drop B). The tone is OK out of then box. If anything, the pickups are one of the cons of the guitar as they're a little thin and while they sound alright I'd recommend switching them out for better pickups. The other major con for me is that the inlays are placed in a really frustrating spot. It can be very hard to look down and gauge where you are on the guitar because the inlays can easily get obscured by the bottom strings. I'd look into inlay stickers to make it simpler to look down and quickly see where you are. Other than those two issues which are pretty simple fixes, this is an awesome guitar that feels amazing and I highly recommend it.
