Ibanez

A rockin' electric guitar with luxurious looks and feel.

Like its S series siblings, the Ibaneze S570DXQM Electric Guitar is one of easiest to play and most comfortable guitars you can buy. The S570DXQM Ibanez is crafted with a gorgeous carved quilted maple top and a mahogany body with a matching headstock.

The original sleek archtop gives the S570DXQM guitar a feel that is luxurious and highly playable. The 3-piece bolt-on maple neck has the fast Ibanez Wizard III neck profile and is dressed with 24 jumbo frets for increased expressiveness.

The ZR (Zero Resistance) double-locking ball bearing bridge gives any guitarist amazing creative freedom. The tone of Ibanez INF pickups is unmatched. Other appointments include special designed fingerboard inlays and Cosmo black hardware.

Infinity humbucking pickups
The versatile and responsive INF1 pickup in the neck position has a ceramic magnet and delivers warm classic tone with added output. A single-coil Infinity INF Single 1 pickup with an alnico magnet in the middle position is designed to work with humbuckers set in a split configuration. The INF2 humbucking bridge pickup offers enhanced midrange output. Its Alnico-V magnet enhances individual string clarity with excellent dynamics.

Zero Point tremolo system
The unique Ibanez Zero Point trem system stabilizes the bridge and insures tuning stability by consistently returning the tremolo to the center or zero point. In addition to the usual tremolo springs, the Zero Point System features 2 additional springs, which insure that the bridge returns to the center point. Zero Point system adjustment is quickly set by hand—there's no need for a hex wrench. The ZR tremolo uses ball-bearings for smooth, precise, friction-free action.

Case sold separately.

Comments about Ibanez S570DXQM Electric Guitar:

I have two problems, and they are my problem. (1) I have 4 other guitars, but none have tremolo. right now it's getting in my way. (2) Although the guitar has a smaller body, the strings seem to be a little higher. Thus, I find that sometimes I'm picking the A string instead of the E string.

This will be cured with time on the guitar.

Comments about Ibanez S570DXQM Electric Guitar:

My satisfaction is only 95%.I hate the feel of the neck. I have an Ibanex GIO that is way more comfortable. If one likes the wizard neck then you will be happy with this guitar. The pick up are great the sound is awesome. For me the neck ruins it. It's not fun for me to play.

Comments about Ibanez S570DXQM Electric Guitar:

Really researched Ibanez models. The S was the obvious choice for me. The 570 had all the features that I was looking for. The body is beautiful. The baby blue is actually darker than the catalog.

Comments about Ibanez S570DXQM Electric Guitar:

I was a little hesitant on ordering this guitar because of so many mixed reviews. Every music store I went to in my area was sold out. Luckily a pawn shop up the road had one and I got to try it out. With that being said...I went home and ordered from Musicians Friend right away! My Impression???........ Simply AMAZING!!!!

I've been playing for over 30 years and I have played everything from cheap Wally World axes to very high end signature series guitars. You do get what you pay for but this one is an exception to that rule. I was surpised for the price, you get a very very nice guitar. Ibanez has never disappointed me and with the S570, I still keep that thought.

The first thing is the paint and finish. I got the BBB (blue one) and its just beautiful. It is darker than the pics on the website but that is in no way a bad thing. It all depends on the light you look at it in. Secondly is the quality. IMO it is very well built and solid for such a thin guitar. The arched top makes it comfortable to play. Setting up the guitar was pretty easy and right away I put some DR Cool Blue strings. The fret board is fast and accurate. The frets are a little on the sharp side but that is expected for a new guitar. The inlays are unique and different. Having a full 24 frets is a plus and bending is an ease.

The Zero Edge Tremelo is really easy to set up and very smooth. Ill be honest....I take this over a Floyd Rose any day. The spring tension adjuster is nice as well.

The only thing I would say in a neutral way is the pickups. They aren't the best but they aren't the worst either. Thats probably why a guitar like this is in the price area that it is. They seem to struggle a little with picking up a rich tone but with a good set of strings, a good amp and a nice effects processor, you will eliminate that aspect. As far as fret buzz....ehhh....people that are saying that either don't know how to set up a guitar properly or maybe they got a bad one out of the bunch. Hey...it happens. I have not gotten any fret buzz at all.

This a very nice guitar...both looks and function. Its smooth, sexy, and very comfortable to play. This is one of the few guitars I have owned that I don't have anything negative to say about it. I would highly recommend this to anyone that wants great quality at a great price. Thanks Ibanez and thank you Musicians Friend for great service and great prices!!!

Comments about Ibanez S570DXQM Electric Guitar:

This is a nice guitar however, right out of the box it was a bear to get in tune. Also the frets need to be filed down a bit. The action is so low it's hard to do things like pinch harmonics and the low action creates fret buzz.
To be fair, this is the first guitar of this type I have owned and it will take some time to get used to. I've been playing solely a Strat for the past 12 years so this guitar will take some time to get used to. I feel that once I get it set up the way I want it, this guitar will be a great guitar to play. Also I haven't had a chance to open it up to 11 yet.

Comments about Ibanez S570DXQM Electric Guitar:

I love the body, the finish and the feel of this guitar. The pickups are pretty good for stock pickups, but I'm used to Dimarzios and swapped the stock pickups in the first week (for a Steve's Special and Air Norton. Surprisingly, the stock middle pickup blends well with both). When you play in position 2 or 4, you can get a great clean sound. Also, the trem is extremely easy to use. I'm used to using Edge trems, and I definitely prefer this one.

Some things to consider-The soldering on this guitar was very poorly done. I noticed static every time I used the trem, and when I began swapping the pickups I noticed a few wires came off the solder points just by lightly pulling on them. If you have experience soldering, take the time to check and re-solder the pickup connections. Also, the blue finish is darker than it appears in the images, which I like. It is more of a navy blue.

I was very hesitant buying a used instrument without seeing it. All I can say is Trust Musician's Friends ratings when they grade their used instruments. This guitar was everything that they said. I had to look very hard to find the scratches that they said were there. I did a setup on the guitar and it plays like a dream! Thank you Musician's Friend!

Comments about Ibanez S570DXQM Electric Guitar:

This guitar is the first one I have purchased in several years. So far from what I can tell it's a great guitar. The thing stays in tune no matter what you do to it. The only problem I've had out of it is when I first recieved it. There was an issue with some fret buzz on the lower register but did a quick string height adj to Ibanez specs and that fixed the problem. Also, it looks like the person who painted it nearly missed the amp jack completely. It barely has any paint around it at all. Also, the pick-ups aren't the best in the world and I plan on changing them out for some Dimarzios but for now they are fine. Other than that it's an awesome guitar and you wont be dissapointed in it.

Comments about Ibanez S570DXQM Electric Guitar:

This is my first Ibanez. Played Jackson's for 19 years. This is the first Ibanez that I actually liked. I've always hated their body styles as usually they're so sharp around the edges. I wanted something more rounded and because this guitar is thinner with a more rounded body face it caught my eye.

The trem is something to get used to. I've played floating floyd roses since my first guitar and this feels a lot like a R/L balance knob on a stereo where once you get to center it locks into place. If you want it out it needs a bit of a good tug but then it gets going. For sensative and sutble vibratos I don't see it happening with this guitar unless you're really using a lot of controlled force on the bar. It may be something to get used to and seeing I don't use it hardly I don't mind it. I'll probably get used to it.

As far as the visual aesthetics go it's a beauty. I have a diagonal wall hanger to display it and keep it safe where no one will walk into it. It looks awesome up there. It is certainly a piece of artwork!

It is also the thinnest neck on an Ibanez I've ever played which is what I love. It is a fast neck and there's a lot of room between the 1st and 6th string and the edge of the neck. I used to slide off of the neck with with the high E string but not on this one so that's a plus. The blue is not really the super bright royal blue they show in pictures. It is more of a deep purple/blue color. I really don't like bright colored guitars but this one is darker. I have the blue burst. With indoor lighting it looks purple which I like better. There's just no way the blue looks that blue unless you use a bright flash on a camara. Out in the sun it looks more bluish. Either way I consider this a chameleon guitar as it changes colors from blue to purple depending on the lighting used. In any case, I love to just stare at it on the wall.

The pickups are a tricky one. I could do without the middle pickup as it does get in the way of picking. I've played Seymour Duncans for 12 years and I can tell there is just a smidge tonal difference where something is just missing from the Infinities. The infinities have good sound and if you never owned any other guitar you probably couldn't tell any difference. But if you're like me you'll notice a slight difference (a tinge difference). I don't think anyone would be disappointed with the pickups. I plan to change them out but i'm in no hurry. I'm still happy with the pickups.

Overall I'm super happy with the guitar. There is almost no guitar that I really really like when I go to a guitar shop as I'm very picky but this one really put it all together for me. If I were to make any suggestions to improve this guitar I would have given it a gunmetal whammy bar to match the rest of the metal on the guitar, higher quality pickup (I hate that company's that use cheap anything just to make an extra dollar), and get rid of the middle pick up. Other than that it's a perfect guitar!

Can be used to play live or professionally or practice workhorse not best sound but descent and good looking
24 fret, whammy bar, single and double hum pickup. Nice color
Plus can play smoother blended tone with hum bicker not to heavy and cool small body design
A little hard to hold strings down closer to nut than my prestige, doesn't seem to flow as easy
But has descent tone with each pickup and can be used to play lead with sharp pickup tone
            Good price for guitar
