Check out the Ibanez SGT520 SAGE SERIES Acoustic Guitar and you'll be amazed at the retro look and feel, inspired by the 1st Golden Age of Ibanez acoustic guitars. The shape of the headstock, body, pickguard and bridge recall a time when things were just a bit more ornate, and pride in craftsmanship was much easier to find.

The grand concert body shape is particularly well-suited for fingerpicking, but sounds great in any style.

Check the drop-down menu to the right to select colors and/or other options.

    Features
    • Grand Concert body
    • Spruce top
    • Mahogany back and sides
    • Pearloid rosette
    • Ibanez chrome die-cast tuners

Has its roots in the first golden age of Ibanez acoustics.

I just bought one of these little Ibanez guitars for a friends daughter's 12th birthday. I've played for 40 years and am a professinal guitar tech. In my opinion this is a very nice guitar and great value. The setup was perfect out of the box. Truss rod was adjusted and string heights were prefect, both treble and bass. I started out playing with a Gibson 1967 B-25, which I still own. This guitar reminds a lot of it. Strumming gently or finger picking, you get a nice sweet tone. This guitar is not meant to be strummed hard, no different than the old B-25!. But played softly, it's sweet, for blues, rhythm, finger style etc. The finish is beautiful, tuners good, intonation, right on the money. Premium nut and saddle. Saved me for having to hand make her ones from bone. It mixs a 30's Gibson'ish sunburst with a more modern style headstock, and bridge. I've setup hundreds of inexpensive acoustics. If your in the market for a small bodied economical acoustic, with a vintage flair, for a beginner, or for home studio work, writting, or just something to quietly pick while the wife and kids are watching American Idol, this is your guitar! LOL

I just got this guitar three days ago. I was actually very surprised at the action and tone right out of the box. I had been playing classical for several years and wanted to get back into steel strings. You can't beat the price so I figured what the heck. The very next day, I noticed the back had begun seperating from the sides right below the heel. What a let down. I sent it back, but I won't get another one. Perhaps it's just a lemon, but I'll spend a little more next time on something better.

Comments about Ibanez SGT110VS SAGE SERIES Acoustic Guitar:

Beautiful guitar to look at. Much more comfortable than my Martin D-28 for sitting on the couch and making up new music, and I'm a big guy. Haven't recorded it yet, but will try it because it has weaker bass, and I've always had to cut the bass on the D-28 way back when going through a mic. I recommend this low-priced guitar for private use, as the sound with light strings is fine but not really loud enough acoustically for combining with more than a single vocal. I bought it at a music store and although it was quite playable, before I left the store I had it set up a bit more to my liking (took like two minutes, just a little twist on the truss rod). Not saying I'd trade the D-28 for it, of course, but since I'm not performing any more, I'd be perfectly content to have only this guitar. Longevity, I couldn't say. The pick guard was lifted in one little corner, but big deal.

Comments about Ibanez SGT110VS SAGE SERIES Acoustic Guitar:

great guitar. I've been playing guitar for about 20yrs, and was hesitant about buying a cheaper priced guitar. I must say I've been pleasantly surprised with this guitar. The action is great out of the box, and the neck is really easy to play, and love the smaller body style. The body paint job is good, my only complaint is that on the neck, there are few spots where the paint lines are crooked, but thats nothing that would deter me from recommending this guitar. I'll definitely buy an Ibanez acoustic again in the future :)

      Shocked And Excited.

Comments about Ibanez SGT110VS SAGE SERIES Acoustic Guitar:

After being without an acoustic for a while I decided to take a shallow dive. Just something to pluck about the house with. I was shocked and excited when I opened the package. It was playable out of the box and the quality rivals that of guitars twice in price. The wood is beautiful, joints are clean, finish is on par, sound is fantastic and playability is good.I will probably have a setup done but it is really not a must... After 20 years of playing I will without reservation say this is the best bang for the buck acoustic I have ever owned. As for long haul quality? have to wait and see.

      Review

Comments about Ibanez SGT110VS SAGE SERIES Acoustic Guitar:

I was looking for a replacement guitar for my 12-year old son who has been learning and playing on a Yamaha JR1 for the past year and a half. He has outgrown (and out plays) the Yamaha, but at 4'9'' has problems handling full body guitars.I came across this guitar, Ibanez SGT110VS, and was immediately drawn by its' perfect size for a smaller guitarist with the slightly shallower body and Grand Concert body shape. I played it for a half hour in store and was very impressed with the action, intonation and clarity. The sound was sweet, vibrant and sustained. Perhaps a bit thin on the bass, but to be expected with the body size and style. The craftsmanship very good. This particular guitar was a trade-in and had no price listed. I was shocked at the quoted price and would have been willing to pay twice what was asked for! My son is extremely happy with it as I am. It is probably the best value that I have come across in a while.

Comments about Ibanez SGT110VS SAGE SERIES Acoustic Guitar:

This guitar is the best. It is worth a lot more. I have played Takamine and epiphone guitars and I prefer this over them. It has a better feel with the neck and stays in tune for days. The strings it comes with are great but I would recommend replacing them with ernie ball power slinky strings.

This guitar is one of the best I've ever owned....I play folk rock and this guitar is just perfect for that kind of music. The small body is very awesome and plus the fact Dallas Green of City and Colour has a nice sunburst folk body guitar I always wanted one like his and this one looks exactly like it. Great buy thank you.

This guitar is the best inexpensive acoustic I have ever played. It is worth way more & very beautiful. I like this guitar better than fancy Taylors. The Grand Concert Sage is way more comfortable than a dreadnought. The neck profile is comfy & fast. The rosewood striations look really nice. Great sustain, great sound, great feel & great look ! Wow, almost to good to be true ! Highly recommended ! Hurry up & buy !
