Thru-body staggered stringing provides superior tonal balance, feel, articulation, and sustain. 3-piece set neck. New Gibraltar III bridge offers simplicity and oodles of sustain. Slim, comfortable maple-topped body with fat mahogany tone. A shorter 25-1/10" scale gives it a different feel from the other S guitars. 2 SZ humbuckers. Body and neck binding. Medium frets. Clean looks. Great tone.
All SZ Series models have a shorter 25-1/10" scale length for a distinctive, slinky feel. Thru-body staggered stringing delivers superior tonal balance, feel, articulation, and sustain. I have been playing for several years. Generally a Blues guy but went through my other phases several years ago. Recently, needed a guitar with humbuckers to play some cover tunes. This guitar nails it. I picked one up used no preconceived notions--just started playing it. It met all of my expectations: smooth neck, good feel, medium frets not too big, string through design for sustain, and a great bridge system which I've never seen before. For me, simpler is better and this guitar has it. The price is incredibly fair for what you get. Yes, it's Korean made but it's a great guitar. Love the headstock too, reminds me of the old Talman electrics from the 90's. Got mine used for $249 which i consider a GREAT DEAL.

This guitar has an incredible solid mahogany body that puts out huge, thick tone. You just need to put good pickups in it. So far, I've replaced the pickups with Seymour Duncans, changed the pickup selector, and added a coil tap. Cool...

A great guitar! Sounds great. I have 1 and want another. Best guitar for the money out there. Especially if you want a PRS or a Les Paul and can't afford it.
For the price, there is nothing better, period. Set neck, mahagony body, maple cap, perfect abalone dots, nicest bridge I've ever encountered, this axe has it all. The tone is thick and juicy and the sustain holds amazingly well. I really dig the bridge, it's so much more sophisticated than the asinine knife edge bridges you find on so many guitars. I could go on forever about this guitar but I think you get my drift here: this axe rules.
Possible the best mid-priced set neck guitar by Ibanez. The construction quality, set, finish and hardware are immaculate. The only dissent (personal) here is the electronics, the humbuckers are typical Ibanez affair; over-emphasis on the midrange, otherwise a faultless buy. Do check out the WM finish for a bare, stained oil feel for those of you who dislike finished necks.
This is a great guitar! The neck-through body design makes the guitar have great sustain. Plays smooth and fast... can't get a better guitar for the money!
A very solid guitar with great tone and sound. Rock, jazz, metal, pop, you name it. I also have a Fender Fat Strat, which I like; but the Ibanez is my main guitar because I'm going for a more "darker" sound, and this guitar delivers the goods.
I've had this guitar for about month and I must say this is a very good guitar!!It's great if you like to play metal or heavy rock or something more quiet. In all this guitar has great tone and a great look too. Also it's not heavy at all!! If you like to play heavy metal this is the guitar for you!!
Pretty good features... one of the best soloing guitars... great tonal quality, it's definitely worth the money it cost...
This guitar plays very well. The neck is fast. I was amazed by the sustain, even unplugged it has a balanced clear tone. I wasn't crazy about the middle switch position. I rewired it taking out the coil splits. I find myself playing this guitar most of the time, while guitars costing 5 times as much sit!
This guitar is made for metal. It's got fast and smooth action, with crunchy, fat tone. Ibanez last forever too. I sat down with one of these in a local dealer and played it for a half hour, before I realized how long it was I got kicked out for playing too long. Ibanez is the way to go for guitars.
The guitar is phenomenal, from its sleek looks to its granduer tonal balance and the feel of it. The scale of the guitar is shorter than your average Ibanez beauty, but it gives you the feeling of having it all in a short space. Amazing neck-through design and the humbuckers set it off with a warm and clear, versatile tone. All in all, it's a nice ax for a measly price. The overall quality of this instrument is fine, and for the price, you can't beat it!
