I've had this guitar for only a couple months & can't manage to even want to put it down!!!  This axe simply awesome!!! It just let's your fingers flow effortlessly up & down the fret board.  The string through body allows it to stay in perfect tune.  I haven't to really mess with the tuning since I tuned it the 1st time. As far as sound goes you can crank out heavy shreddin' metal or you can back down & play clean & switch it back up just like that.  It's a very versatile guitar & small framed to boot.  If you're lookin' for diversity in your instrument you need not look any further than this Ibanez!!!!!!!

I play a lot of funk music, and to me a really great funky tone is beefy yet with a lot of bite.  When I throw the selector into the stock neck pickup, the tone through my old Carvin British series 100 Watt amp is perfect.  It's chunky as soup.  I've never had to buy another guitar because it's so versatile.  I love it.  The only thing is the flame inlay looks a bit funny.  But who cares if it sounds awesome out of the box?

I love this guitar! I had a little bit of a feedback problem when I first got it so I replaced the old humbuckers with Seymour Duncan Alnico 2 Pro Humbuckers and it sounds unbelievable! It has become my main stage guitar! I own a Gibson Les Paul Studio and I still think this sounds better and is easier to play on!

I got the Ibanez SZ520Qm (blue one), and have had it for 7 months. I play in the youth band at my church, and this guitar has not failed me yet. I play it practicly every day. And it even sounds good on my "first act" amp. I would reccomend this guitar to beginner, to expert.

This guitar was an unexpected surprise for me. I've never liked Ibanez but this guitar had the specs that I wanted. Basically it is Ibanez's take on a PRS styled guitar. The stock pickups were okay but didn't sound that good at gig volumes and had feeback issues. I replaced them with a new Seymour Alt-8 at the bridge and an Alnico II pro for the neck. Now this guitar is just unbelievable. It has climbed its way through my other, more expensive guitars, to become my #1. The thick maple cap makes for a very tight tone even under high gain. It also adds complexity to the overall tone. It sounds big enough distorted that I sold off my all mahogany Les Paul. It even sounds great clean! Very crisp and pristine tones that you'd expect from a strat. I imagine the thick maple cap had something to do with that. However, I've talked with people who have had COMPETELY different experiences with this guitar than mine. Some had told me their SZ520 was very light, which odd because mine is very heavy for its size. So in conclusion I don't think all SZ's are created equal. I'd go out, play a bunch and find the one that sounds best. I think I must of lucked out. My SZ sounds like a much much much more expensive guitar. Word of advice: replace the pickups with real duncans, it will make a big difference.
