I own ten guitars. Gibsons, PRS, Jackson, and Ibanez. This guitar is a real treat to play and to record. The stock pickups are very high output for a nice controlled metal sound, switch the toggle to the bridge pickup and it has a beautiful clean sound. The only draw back is playing live. It is a little hard on the shoulders and neck. But a small price to pay for a beautiful sounding and looking guitar!
I was originally going to get an Epiphone Elitist SG, but I wanted something original, something that not everyone has. So I was reading my guitar one magazine, and saw an ad for it, looked amazing in the ad, everything seemed great. So I checked out reviews people had left, everyone it was good, knowing it was an Ibanez I knew it would be good. So I got the guitar, I must admit, it is probably one of the nicest guitars I have ever seen, the inlays are pearl and amazing, then there's this pearl out lining all around the body and the head. The grey glossy finish is amazing. If you're thinking of getting this guitar don't hesitate. It sounds amazing too.
I went to sam ash with money to buy a gibson SG. Which i was drooling over for like a year. Walked around, found the SG. Looked around for a minute to see what there was to mess around with before i paid. Took one look at this beautiful guitar and pet the SG back. This IS a wonderful guitar and is a magnificant buy. Bridge pickup sounds deep enough for me to play slayer on. Neck is bright enough for me to play some less distorted tunes and still sound great. Looks, wow those inlay's rock! The Flamed Maple is wonderful and the Mahogany body rules in tone! The only thing that really takes some getting used to is the different neck length's. this one is 25 1/8 while the standatd is about 25 1/2 so its a little smaller. But once you get used to it you can shred all day and play your kids a lullaby with it too. Over all, wonderful buy! Ibanez has out done it's self with this beauty!
Great sounding guitar with a nice feel to it when playing and also the look is amazing.
This guitar is VERY, VERY good. I have never played one that was so easy and fluid to play with. The souds it puts out are beautiful.
I bought this guitar 3 months ago and the pickups are the real problems. The natural tone of nothing really amazing but the pickups are so noisy. It should feature coil tapping... and the bridge pickup is way to trebly and the sound is not clear enough.
I bought this guitar and I was blown away with its quality and awsome deep tone and looks great too this is the guitar to get!
This is a great performance guitar w/ killer looks and awesome sound. but i would say some other pickups would make it the perfect guitar.
This baby has it all. Great sound, looks, and features. The only thing that I don't like is it doesn't have speed knobs, and the toggle switch is not smooth. When I bought it I also didn't get any warranty info or any papers that told me about the guitar other than the serial number.
I bought this guitar about 2 months ago. Been playing it at least 2 hrs a day since. You just cannot go wrong with this baby. I mean, string-through, neck-through for this price!! I just added two DiMarzio Evolution pickups and this thing SCREAMS!!!!
