Don't Forget

A distinct looking hybrid with plenty to please both electric players looking to take it down and acoustic players wanting more pizzaz.

The Ibanez TCM50 Talman double-cutaway acoustic-electric guitar is perfect for electric guitarists who want to gain the full tones of an acoustic guitar without losing the comfort and playability of an electric. The TCM50 combines the rich sound of an acoustic with the size, upper fret access and radical looks of an electric. Featuring a stronger and more durable Ivorex II nut the TCM50 has brilliant highs and more pronounced lows. The Ivorex II saddle is specially formulated to provide ultra-fast response and maximum sound transfer to the body. Equipped with the Ibanez AP2 magnetic pickup and the Ibanez AEQ-200 preamp with 2-band EQ this is an acoustic-electric that sounds great amplified.

Comments about Ibanez Talman Series TCM50DNO Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

As soon as this product was taken out the box, it was in tuned. It sounds great and has a extremely broad sound spectrum whenever it's plugged up into and amplifier. Almost has a vintage radio sound to it. And through an ambient mike it gives it the acoustic satisfaction that pickers are looking for. The strings might dull sooner than expected, but over all, great guitar with a very slick finish. The only con is that you can feel the texture of the open pore neck at the edge of the body where it and the neck collide.

      It's blue!

Comments about Ibanez Talman Series TCM50DNO Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

Well let me start off by saying I have wanted one of these Talmans for quite awhile. I used to own a 2002 semi hollw gray sprkle that I miss playing. These are awesome unique guitars. so, in the last few days I have ended up with 2 of them. First off I bought a Blue sparkle one used for my wife. It's girlie and sparkly. Has nice gold hardware on it. Pretty well made for a "kiddie" looking guitar. Plays so so acoustic, which I already knew from past experiences playing one at my local store. After that purchase it helped me make up my mind, then I ordered a BRAND new one from here at musicians friend. This is my first new guitar as everything before now has been used. Sadly I am not impressed at all. It is not nearly as pretty as it appears in the photos. There is no gloss to it at all. You can feel the texture of the wood. The strings whatever they use suck and will need to be replaced even if by a cheap pack of Ernies. The neck and the frets are good so they don't need any real adjusting...yet. It does sound great plugged in. I played it thru my Kustom tuck n roll clean first off, but the real impression electric came thru my Peavey Vyper with some chorus and flange effects. It even rocks with some gain and light distortion. Let's give it a week of abuse before I give my real opinion, but so far I'm not impressed
