The killer tone, with roaring low end, comes from the CAP active pickups mounted in both neck and bridge positions, along with the string-through-body construction.

    CAP-LZ 10/20 Active Pickups
    CAP-LZ10/20 are newly developed active humbucker pickups that deliver high-power sound that cuts through, while minimizing noise even at high gain settings. The CAP-LZ pickups cover a very wide range, and offer a strong rich middle tone for fast and heavy rhythm and lead playing.

    String-Thru Bridge
    The string-thru setup on the XG300, with its solid mahogany body, provides heavy tone, tighter string tension and maximum sustain.

      The first time I saw this guitar I knew I had to have it,The one thing I really like about this guitar is the brigde it is quick and easy to change your tuning and of course the awesome shape .It is truly a brutal guitar for brutal players The only thing I want to change is the pickups

      I think this is a fantastic guitar. It has great sound and an awesome look. I got mine about a week ago in Metallic grey sunburst and it looks amazing. the pickups are fine for the guitar and soung good. The neck of the guitar has rosewood and has a great feel. Along with its 24 frets it is great for metal

      -Cool Design
      This is a fantatic quality guitar. Ive always loved Ibanez and there necks. They have the best quality guiars and are awesome.
      This is a little pricey but you get what you buy. A great guitar.
