Trev Wilkinson, Italia's famed guitar designer talks about his pickups for Italia guitars:
"Wilkinson pickups" were first designed for my "Fret-King" range of guitars. Not all of the pickups in the ranges are exact vintage replicas. I have taken the liberty of making some subtle changes to make them more appropriate for todays' playing styles. All Wilkinson pickups are wound for "Tone" -- balance is important to me -- high frequencies should sparkle but not be thin -- mids, warm and defined, and lower frequencies tight and articulate". Case sold separately.

Comments about Italia Maranello '61 Semi-Hollow Electric Guitar:
I am very impressed with this guitar. I've never been able to find what I want in most guitars. But I must say that anything I have wanted to play I have been able to play on this instrument. ANYTHING! I have had no desire to buy a new "#1" guitar or anything.
