Comments about Italia Modulo Type 3 Electric Guitar:
I own several US made strats and bought this because I liked the unique retro look. I have to say that I Really Like this guitar. It is well made and plays as good as any high end guitar I have owned. I would say it is BETTER than MANY lower end strats in many ways. The humbucker provides a grunge tone that is not available on any single coil only guitar so it gives you another great tone option. The 2 single coils sound just like a strat to me. I use this guitar with a effects unit and it really sounds terrific through a small practice amp (VOX). If you are considering a strat style guitar in this price range I would highly recommend the Modulo. In my view it is a excellent instrument and I am so impressed with the quality that I've ordered another Italia model. It may not be THE NAME BRAND, but having played for many years and currently owning THE NAME BRAND, I can honestly say this is a Excellent Value and a great deal. I value instruments, not by the name, but by how they sound and play. I would honestly rather have one of these than a low line name brand strat. This plays like a much more expensive guitar and sounds great. The single coils are somewhat low output but so what, just turn up the amp a bit. The retro "bling" finish is also very cool and makes for a great addition to any guitar collection. Keep up the great work Italia! Kudos from a experienced player for a fine quality instrument at a very fair price!
