Dull and Duller

Comments about Italia Mondial Classic Semi-Hollow Electric Guitar:

I wish I could see what people find so appealing about this guitar. I admit I was drawn in by its good looks. But it turned bitter as soon as I heard it.
Besides the easy-to-play neck, there's nothing to recommend it.
I was hoping for a light-weight guitar with a decent piezo sound to mix in with the electric.
But it turned out to be as heavy as most solid body electrics, with useless piezo output.
There are some features that would be cool if they worked. But they don't really work well. So why have them? I'd rather have fewer features that actually work well.
The pick-ups both sound rather dull, muffled, like there's a pillow over them. And there's not much difference between the bridge and neck. The volume level is OK, but the frequency response is so poor, that it doesn't really matter. Even the "piezo" bridge has no bite to it, no clarity or definition to the string plucks. Pretty useless, actually.
Not bad quality. The neck feels good, and plays easy. But the one I got had a loose, rattling pick-up in the bridge position. And the pick-up switch crackled during use, making it impossible to use during a song.
This is really over-priced for what it is. There are much better guitars for less money. If you want acoustic sound, get an electric-acoustic or really acoustic. This is no substitute.

Good buy, You wont regret

Comments about Italia Mondial Classic Semi-Hollow Electric Guitar:

A well made guitar. I just bought this guitar a few weeks ago because Ive been wanting to try out hollow body guitars for a while and I did a good bit of research on different ones and I decided to try it out because of all the good feedback on it. It had a great set up out of the box. Pretty light with is a plus for me cause Im used to my sg. The tone is amazing. Very clear and full. Has a 2nd input for the piezo pick up to simulate an acoustic guitar. It sounds great but not exactly like an acoustic. I heard getting a boss acoustic simulator would solve that problem. All in all, its a great sounding and well made guitar. GET ONE. These guitars need more recognition

Comments about Italia Mondial Classic Semi-Hollow Electric Guitar:

just got mine today. i got the green one. it is perfect. buy it here so you get the case. set up is peerless-i hate small strings though i usually play 11 flats. piezo is beautiful and loud as all get out. humbuckers are nifty. wish it had an instruction book or a sticker or some cool gift. a coffee cup would be nice or a tee shirt haha. i had an old supro back in the day and it was pretty darn cool but this guitar blows that one away. This is really a first class guitar.

Comments about Italia Mondial Classic Semi-Hollow Electric Guitar:

I have played this it is awsome it can do just about any thing. the pezio* pickup going threw a tube amp with a little natual break up is super sick. Dont worry about the fiber glass. A few guitars in the late 50's and 60's (supro, airline) were all fiber-glass (reso-glass) and are still around today. jack whites airline guitar is all fiber-glass the guitar is 50 years old and still kicking. The fiber-glass gives a unique sound you will find no were else.

INCREDIBLE!

Comments about Italia Mondial Classic Semi-Hollow Electric Guitar:

I tried one of these when they first became available in America. These are the BEST humbuckers I have ever heard on any guitar and the neck is terrific. The visual impact of one of these onstage wows virtually any audience and guitarists tend to come up after a show and ask what the hell is that guitar and where did you find it. This is a great guitar to have for the studio or for live work.

Fun, Versitile Guitar!

Comments about Italia Mondial Classic Semi-Hollow Electric Guitar:

I've heard a lot about this guitar and mostly about how much it can do. It has all the capabilities of a semi-hollow body guitar and also has a piezo pickup to accompany it. I can only imagine the amount of tones capable of coming out of this thing, I wish I could just drop the money right now. The one downfall I've considered with this guitar, is that it's made of fiberglass, which is rather unorthodox for traditional guitar players, but in days like this of going green, and saving the environment I'm sure many people could appreciate you buying an "eco-friendly" guitar. Besides that, I could really buy this guitar based on appearance, I think it's really pretty, and it's retro. Very indie.
