Jackson Dominion Feb-2012

By Ronald Rose

from Indiana

Comments about Jackson Dominion Mark Morton Signature Electric Guitar:

The paint /laquer line on the neck should be corrected. This indicates that Jackson does not care as they let these issues go out the door.
Loaded with useful features: Coil taps, chambered body, locking tuners, Ducan pups
The Q.C. dept needs to take a closer look and make some changes. I have received 3 different ones before receiving one that I would accept and it still has flaws. Were the neck meets the body you can see the masking tape line from the laquer. Since the neck is unfinished this is very noticable. All 3 that I received has issue. The gig bag is cheap and the guitar does not fit in it. The point on the headstock tears the bag because it fits to tight. For this kind of $$$$ a hard shell case should have been included. The setup was less than expected. The low E string broke on the first tune and all the intonations needed adjusted. I have been playing for 40+ years and have purchased many guitars online and this has been the worse of them all. Note: It still is a very nice guitar
I feel it is over priced.................it is a nice axe but there are plenty of guitars out there of equal quality at a lower price.

The Dominion DOMINATES

By Shadesofcraig

Comments about Jackson Dominion Mark Morton Signature Electric Guitar:

I was a huge Fender fan who happens to have 11 Fender guitars, and I also have 3 Gibson guitars and a number of others. This was my first Jackson guitar and it did not disappoint at all. The set through neck on this thing is a killer, it is a shred machine. The locking tuners, the pickups, the inlays, everything about this guitar is great and screams quality. Since I purchased this guitar I bought a Jackson USA Kelly KE-2 and I consider the Dominion to be the better deal since it is 1/2 the price and just as good a guitar.

Weapon of Mass Destruction

By TOA of SIFT

Comments about Jackson Dominion Mark Morton Signature Electric Guitar:

Got my Dominion today in the river bed finish. Got the deluxe case as well. Everything is pretty bad ass about this guitar so far. But the deluxe case made for the Dominion is so unlike the Dominion I don?t even know why they bothered. I mean, it is really just a black Fender case with some red vinyl stitched to both sides. Had I known, I would not have bought the case. It also comes with a gig bag?.again, nothing like the Dominion. This guitar is WAY too cool for either thing they offer for you to carry it in. Oh well. My only other complaint with the guitar?.is that it has an unfinished neck. I feel a finished black neck would have been much better. But maybe this will grow on me. But for the one thing I don?t like, there are 20 things I do. The ebony fretboard, the pearl inlays, the body contours (although if you get one custom in green, it could be looking very Gumby-ish). This is a pure weapon of mass metal destruction. I look forward to many years of annihilating abuse with my Dominion.

Dominion

By ChuckDogg

from Iowa

Comments about Jackson Dominion Mark Morton Signature Electric Guitar:

This is a quite impressive guitar. Like all Jackson guitars I have used the quality is superb. This guitar has fantastic features as well. The price is a little steep for a new one, but you really get what you pay for. The only thing that I found wrong with this guitar was the bridge pickup. I play a lot of metal and high gain stuff so the '59 in the bridge didnt quite do it for me. So I had it replaced with a SD SH-6 and couldnt be happier. The tone of this guitar is amazing, and since there are coil taps there a lot of different tones you can get out of this guitar. I highly reccomend this guitar!
