Tons of tonal options put this entry-level electric into a class of its own.

The Jackson JS23 Dinky electric guitar features the same satin-smooth playability and molten tone of the JS22R, but with a humbucking bridge pickup, scalding single-coil neck and middle pickups, and a fulcrum tremolo bridge.

This JS23 Dinky is part of Jackson's entry-level JS Series. This series features super-affordable takes on classic and instantly recognizable Jackson guitars, all built without compromising all-important tone and playability. The JS23 Dinky features the 24-fret compound-radius neck and shark fin inlays beloved of Jackson shredders worldwide.

Comments about Jackson JS23 Dinky Electric Guitar:

This is a flat out amazing guitar in this price range - even more of a deal since I got it during the Jackson holiday sale.

I chose the natural finish and it's lovely. The Cedro has a look very similar to mahogany and a nice depth to it. It's a little on the heavy side, but not unbearable.

The neck has great fretwork and is very nicely finished and feels great in your hands. The Jackson compound radius neck is both extremely comfortable and fast. I like the HSS setup as it's very versatile and different than anything else in my stable. Pickups are decent for stock units, but not super high output for a "metal" guitar.

The tremolo is a two-point traditional style unit (mine was set up flat to the body out of the box), so won't stand up to whammy histrionics. If that's your goal, I'd look at upgrading to a locking trem model, but if you're looking for a good playing superstrat with a great neck at a resonable price, the JS23 is worth a look. This instrument is as nicely finished as some three times its price.

an amazing guitar for the money. the only problem that i have is that the high e string will break even when i'm playing something simple and when i'm not bending the string at all, but still sounds great and feel amazing.
