A hard rocker that's easy on the pocket.
The 2008 Jackson JS30 Electric Guitar has a Dinky-style alder body, maple neck with reversed headstock, and rosewood fretboard nicely equipped with jumbo frets. A JT500 double-locking trem, 2 Jackson CVR pickups, and chrome hardware round out the Jackson JS30 guitar. Jackson includes volume, tone, and a 3-way switch to giver the JS30 electric guitar simple sound management.
Jackson's compound-radius fingerboard curves more dramatically at the nut for easy chording and flattens out as it approaches the neck joint for low-action bends without fretting out. With a more relaxed hand, you'll play better!

I got this guitar about 6 months ago, and was immediately pleased. I played it in the store and it sounded excellant through the marshall that they had up there(then again what doesnt), and it after playing several other guitars and weighing the options for the prices, this guitar came home with me. Through my Behringer halfstack with a digitech grunge pedal setup i was very impressed with the sound. However, after about 2 or 3 weeks, i started to notice how weak the pickups sounded compared to my other guitars. I changed the strings, because dead strings will make the pickups sound weak, but that didnt fix it. I then bought a Boss Metal Master distortion pedal, and this made the pickups sound hotter, but still not as hot as i wanted them. With the stock pickups, any time you use the floyd rose, your sustain will fade dramatically, making for a very un-impressive dive-bomb. However, i upgraded the pickups to Seymour Duncan, and i now completely love my sound. You cant get any better, unless you wanna fork out the dough for a set of EMGs. Over all, this guitar has great sustain, the guitar stays in excellent tune even with contstant dives and pulls and yanks on the tremelo bar, and it has a great tone, even with the crappy stock pickups, but if you know anything about sound, and want to sound great, put better pickups in it.

I bought this guitar from guitar center and they drop shipped it to my house. Everything came great and the service was excellent; however, the tremelo system was terrible. I tried setting it up many times and I just couldn't get it to not go out of tune if I used the Floyd Rose. The action on the guitar also had to be set up as it was a bit high and the neck appears to be a little bowed. Another thing is that the Floyd Rose was put in slightly crooked and it messed up the strings. The neck on this guitar feels very nice and it's very easy to play. I would've kept this guitar if it weren't for all of the problems with the Floyd Rose. This guitar appears to be great with all the features, but the part's quality just isn't there.

I have had this guitar for about a year now, and I love it. I can hardly even play on anything else now! It knocks my friends LP's and Strats out of the water in every way. I have recently moded it by droping in a SD SH-8 Invader pickup and it sounds amazing! A definite recomended buy!
This guitar is definitely one of my favorites of my small collection and I have not even had if for a month. I recently purchased it. In the music store I compared it to many guitars in this price range. It blew them all away.First of all, I got it in the trans black, and it looks beautiful. The pickups do an excellent job and gives it a good metal crunch under distortion, even though I just used the overdrive channel on a Marshall MG50DFX. I usually use a electronics set up with knobs controlling certain pickups, like one on a Les Paul, but I can certainly adjust to this. The Jackson Licensed Floyd Rose works out well and it stays in tune well, though it is a pain in the butt to re-string. I couldn't be happier with this guitar, though.
I have had this guitar for about 3 months now and I can honestly say it is one of the best guitars I have ever used! I play in a metal band and have this guitar tuned in Drop A# and it holds the tuning like no other! The floyd rose is amazing and easy to use. The pickups deliver what you would expect from a Jackson...Pure Brutallity!! They sound great with distortion and even on a clean chanel. Overall I am totally impressed with the work Jackson put into making these guiatrs. You won't be dissapointed in this amazing product from Jackson.
i dont own this guitar first off. I got a guitar for x-mas but it was a les paul studio (the one without the finish). I regret little about buying it, but the one thing i wanted was a floyd rose or any locking whammy (I listen to van halen and pantera, so..). I played this guitar at my friends house. I'll be honest, its lacking in the cosmetics department, a.k.a. it's ugly, but the sound is incredible. It's almost as good sounding as my new les paul, and for the price, its simply astounding. Buy it or regret it.
I purchased this guitar, owned it for about three months, played it everyday and the following problem occured. The frets wore out, thats right, they wore out. More specifically, the little e string indented the frets and whenever I would bend the string it would catch on the fret and it wouldn't ring out right. Overall bad quality.
This guitar is truly amazing! I have had it for several months now and I must say it is the best money I've ever spent. And although I encountered slight problems with the volume knob and string locks, this guitar makes up for it with amazing playability and sound(not to mention the Floyd Rose double locking tremelo). I recommend this to anybody with a genuine respect for guitars, and is ready for the ride of their life!
This is my 9th guitar in two years.....I was stupid and traded my $500 Ibanez RG for one of these (my friends are going to kill me). Don't get me wrong, I like this almost as much as my ESP Standard, except for the pickups. The guitar I have is from the year 2000, and it has changed hands a lot. But when I got it, a knob was missing, the tremolo arm was missing, and the headstock was broken in two places. Despite these flaws, this is pretty good guitar for the price. The pickups just plain suck, except for one the clean channel. I'm putting in a Seymour Duncan SH-6 Distortion at the neck and a DiMarzio X2N at the bridge.
I got this guitar less than a week ago at Guitar Center and instantly loved it. It weighs next to nothing when compared to my Stratocaster and the reverse headstock just adds to it's coolness. This is one of the few guitars that can pull off having awesome features with a "dinky" pricetag. A licensed Floyd Rose trem and locking nut is enough to make you want to get it. The only little dissapointment was with the humbuckers, they look like EMGs so I was expecting a better sound but they're still higher quality than open-coils. Get this guitar if you want a Dinky but don't feel like paying for one!
This guitar kicks serious a**. I have had it for 2 years and it's never let me down. The Floyd Rose always keeps it in tune and it has a very versatile range of tones. I just think that it could use an extra tone knob and maybe 24 frets instead of 22. It's one of the best deals around!
The tremolo is smooth, the humbuckers are insane, and so is the price! Excellent and so cool! High-output dive bombing rocker!
