    'Tude and tone to spare.

The Jackson RR5 Rhoads Pro Electric Guitar gives you superior tone, sustain and playability. This version of the Jackson Randy Rhoads V has it all: neck-thru-body construction, an alder body, maple neck with a compound-radius rosewood fretboard, Seymour Duncan JB SH4 Humbucking Pickup (bridge) and Jazz SH2N humbucker (neck), Tune-o-matic-style bridge with strings thru body, sharkfin inlays, and gold hardware. This Jackson Rhoads looks hot and sounds hot!

Jackson's compound-radius fingerboard curves more dramatically at the nut for easy chording and flattens out as it approaches the neck joint for low-action bends without fretting out. With a more relaxed hand, you'll play better!

    Great guitar

    By Captainkeeney

Comments about Jackson RR5 Rhoads Electric Guitar:

This is hands down one of the best guitars I have ever played on. I own a 1960's classic Gibson Les Paul, a Pretty Standard 90's Gibson Explorer, a Fender Telecaster, a Wolfgang, a few Ibanez guitars and a few custom built, and this guitar has become pretty much my main guitar. The only place that I didn't give this product a 5 star rating was in value. It's certainly a good deal for the guitar, but being a good guitar it certainly isn't cheap. Bottom line, if you have the cash and you want a guitar with a mean sound, this is a good buy.

    My Favorite

    By Zack-gjJ1G

Comments about Jackson RR5 Rhoads Electric Guitar:

This guitar was my first major guitar purchase. Though I've aquired several of my own and played many in stores and at friends, my black and gold jackson will forever be my favorite. I own and have played some fine instruments over the years but have never had a guitar play as smooth and comfortable as this. The way this looks it just glows. Though I will say the pickups limit my playing a bit as the clean sounds very muddy to me. This is not my main guitar for that reason, but as a great second guitar or if you play music that doesn't require much crisp clean playing no guitar rocks like this one!

    Great V

    By Danny Boy

Comments about Jackson RR5 Rhoads Electric Guitar:

Some would say I own too many guitars (3 types of Gibson Les Pauls, Taylor T5, Gibson J45RE) but my collection was missing a V. In this recession I did not want to spend a lot of money and I have been doing alot of looking. I received an order from MF's and in it was a sale catalog with the RR5 at a discount price so I thought "what have I got to lose?" I am glad I ordered it. I especially like how I can get further down the neck as compared to a Les Paul. Great value for my working collection.

    Amazing guitar

    By Jacksonrr5

Comments about Jackson RR5 Rhoads Electric Guitar:

I have had this guitar for about 6 months and its still brand new. I play 3-8 hour days, and this thing takes it and makes everything i play shine. This guitar sounds better than my friends les paul studio, and can do anything you want from clean to metal youre covered. perfect pickups and build if you want this guitar buy it, but one thing. The guitar is set up like a les paul where the body is at an angle away from the strings and bridge making it hard to anchor your hand if you do that, but you'll get used to that. Other than that this is a great guitar out of the case. Oh and it comes with a case, a very strong case, perfect for the guitar.

    I was sold but...

Comments about Jackson RR5 Rhoads Electric Guitar:

I just got this thing a couple of hours ago. I love this guitar but mine has problems. Only the top knob was volume, the middle was tone and the last one didn't work with the switch set for the neck pickup. I love this guitar it plays and sounds like a dream, but like I said, mine had problems.

Comments about Jackson RR5 Rhoads Electric Guitar:

i got this guitar about a month ago used for 575(small chip on top fin.)the first impression of this guitar is it looks great, its what you imagined yourself playing when you where 12 next thing i noticed was how comfortable the neck was extremely low action, but no fret buzz the neck was thick enough to not get cramps in my lefthand but thin enough to be able to shred with ease.when i look for a guitar i check for two things comfort and good when its not plugged in everything else can be compramised or altered for a relatively small amount of coin this guitar met both those requirements and then some, in fact it has converted a long time mahogany lover to alder because of how bright this guitar sounded. later when i plugged it into my rig(carvin v3 head with boss dd3 in efx loop through a carvin legacy 4x12 with vintage 30 speakers) it roared. the pickups are great for certain applications great clean decent distortion but not quite aggresive enough for my style. im probobly going to replace the bridge pickup with an x2n or a crunch lab(dont care for actives).the neck pickup ill probobly leave for a while because it really sings with my amps clean channel and is very articulated for wanky guitar. only cons i can think of is it only has 22 frets and the gold smudges easily.

    Jackson RR5

    By Davidian

    from Detroit

Comments about Jackson RR5 Rhoads Electric Guitar:

This guitar is both beautiful and plays like a dream. Sustain and tone is incredible. No adjustment period getting used to quirks or defects. I'm already sold on compound radius necks but this one is especially thin and just right for both chording and soloing. I was worried about the non-locking trem, but it holds up to abuse well--the gears are very fine and solid. You can't get tone like this in a V body with a locking trem anyway. The neck-thru/string thru is a superior set up and I'm glad I took the chance. It is outstanding.

sounds as good as it looks

    By G-Roll

    from Way up north

Comments about Jackson RR5 Rhoads Electric Guitar:

I have been through a ton of different guitars and so far this is my favorite. Its very playable and the Duncans sound great clean dirty or otherwise. You dont even have to change batteries all the time!! Its light weight and makes a thick sound with the alder body and maple neck. Also the neck/head doesnt drop at all. So I have yet to have to fight with it while slung over my shoulder. The guitar is basically perfect. The only thing I might change is an ebony fretboard. If you like v guitars then this guitar is actually a great buy for the price.
