The Jackson RR5 Rhoads Pro Electric Guitar for 2008 gives you superior tone, sustain and playability. This version of the Jackson Randy Rhoads V has it all: neck-thru-body construction, an alder body, maple neck with a compound-radius rosewood fretboard, a pair of Seymour Duncan TB4 humbucker pickups, tune-o-matic-style bridge with strings thru body, sharkfin inlays, and gold hardware. Looks hot and sounds hot!
Jackson's compound-radius fingerboard curves more dramatically at the nut for easy chording and flattens out as it approaches the neck joint for low-action bends without fretting out. With a more relaxed hand, you'll play better!

This guitar is absolutely stunning. I have Dimarzio Breed pick - ups in mine which make it scream on overdrive, but the seymour duncans are almost as good (which is REALLY good). This piece of instrumental perfection sounds and looks amazing. I don't typically play metal, as i am more into Progressive rock bands like Genesis, yes and King Crimson, but this guitar can handle both. In fact, it can handle any genre i throw at it. It is perfect, except the fact a whammy bar is absent, but who needs it? just puts it out of tune anyways. which leads to another point: one of the best features of this guitar is its ability to maintain its tuning, and it does this exceedingly well. It beautifully handles bends, vibratos, arpeggios, sweeping, artificial/ natural harmonics, ANYTHING you can put out. Also, it is very durable. I have been surprised on many occasions with this thing's incredable ability to not scratch or chip (and ive almost put it through my cieling when putting the strap on it). Maintainance is almost unnecessary, as i've never had to adjust it or make any changes at all. If you are looking to buy this instrument, BUY IT. Nothing else competes with it, however, the ESP M-II is a close condender, but the RR5 wins overall.

I purchased this guitar less then a year ago and I wish I didn't. It has nice action and nice pickups but it is a slow neck and has kind of sticky feeling to it. It is really high maintnence and not built to last. I think people should save their money from this guitar because you can get a much nicer guitar for that amount of money.

Crystal clear, warm, tone. Just a beautiful sounding and playing guitar. It's gorgeous to look at. Plus it's based on Randy's baby. That's all there is to it.Neck through, great components, nice pinstriping and paint job.
Very minor flaws that don't affect playability or sound, and only the owner would notice them upon very close inspection.

I have a explorer, les paul, GMW Polka Dot Rhoads, a Strat... I must say I this is my favorite. Plays fast and sounds great through my Marshall. Highly would recomend!!

I played this at my guitar store and I gotta say I didnt like it. I'm a huge Rhoads fan but this isnt a good Rhoads. THERES NO TREMELO!!! Randy loved his tremelo! Also, it has a painted neck. You can get a RR3 for about half the price and get a Jackson Floyd and an unpainted neck.

As a collector, and musician, this is the absolute best guitar you can buy. Randy Rhoads is the reason I started playn back in 83, and have since collected 11 rr models,each one superb instruments. I own les paul, strats, sg's, v's, dinkys, and soloists, but the rr v is absolutly my favorite for recording or playin live. Hard to play sittin, but rocks like a beast on stage!!! I love them!!

After trying out an insane amount of other V-shaped guitars, including the Gibson Flying V and The Alexi model, this one is by far the best guitar I have ever owned. I'm not a fan of having 2 Duncans in it, but a quick swap would solve that problem. The neck is incredibly fast and smooth, its balanced PERFECTLY when playing with a strap. I've bumped the fins a couple of times, and not a single dent. The gold hardware smudges pretty easily, but if you are really OCD, you can pick up replacement gold hardware.What else can be said? Fantastic V, the only better one I have played is the RR1, which is 2 times the price. And I dig the gold hardware more anyway.You will not be disappointed.

Plays like a wet dream. As someone else has mentioned the absence of the floyd rose is the only real downside, but once you play the thing that thought disappears. Its worth every penny.

I don't know where to start! Looks wise this guitar is the perfect embodiment of Randy Rhoads: sleek, classy and elegant but able to go and shred your brains out and trust me it delivers! Its killer feel in your hands matches its tone through your amp. Searing Leads, crunchy rythms, beautiful cleans, this guitar can do it all! The craftsmanship is perfect, its super solid and feels and plays like a $5000 Jackson Custom shop piece. My only gripe at the beginning was the absence of a floyd rose, but 5 seconds of shredding on this baby pushed the thought way out of my mind. I've played a huge variety of guitars and this is still one of my personal favorites live, in the studio or just jamming with my band. This is one guitar that combines all everything you want into one great stylish package. So if your looking for extreme sound and killer, classy looks, look no where else!

I bought this guitar about a year and a half ago. I would say it's my favorite guitar.. but all of my guitars have certain qualities that I love, so I can't just choose one. The features are really great, the Alder body and the Seymour Duncan pickups give it great tone. though...When I recieved the guitar in the mail though, the electronics were wired wrong and everytime I touched the volume knob it would make a horrid scratching sound through the amp.Also, the gold plate smudges easily, but that's not really a problem. Overall this is a great guitar and is worth the money, but personally I would go with the RR24 over this one, But that's just my personal preference.
