Comments about Jackson SLATTXMG3-7 Soloist 7-String Electric Guitar:

I've used it on dozens of recordings, traveled all over with it, beat the snot out of it, and it has held up remarkably. I was lucky enough to purchase one of the earlier basswood models. My band-mate purchased an identical one (slime green), only his model was mahogany. The basswood is much lighter, both in weight and color. I also think the basswood has more of a mid-range punch to it, where the mahogany model is very bass heavy. The finish is great on both. The mahogany model has a sightly darker green to it. As they get abused and scuffed up they look cooler. There is a white finish underneath the green, so in certain spots where there is more wear, the green starts to get lighter. Small nicks and chips appear white.

I haven't had to adjust the neck or bridge at all in the last 2 years on my basswood model - and that's after dozens of string changes (I always use the same string gauge/brand). One of the best instruments I've ever owned.

Comments about Jackson SLATTXMG3-7 Soloist 7-String Electric Guitar:

Very good for the price, I had to raise the action a tad but that's hardly bad. Sounds fantastic dirty and clean. The neck feels AMAZING and is crazy smooth. Looks, plays, and sounds great.

Comments about Jackson SLATTXMG3-7 Soloist 7-String Electric Guitar:

I bought this guitar used in perfect condition. The first day that I had this guitar in my possession, I could not stop playing it. The neck is very thin, and the access to the higher frets is extremely easy. The overall feel of the guitar is very smooth. The weight of this guitar is very light. Stays in tune even when bending this strings. The pickups sound amazing! After a few weeks of owning this guitar, my soloing skills have greatly imporved. It is no wonder why Jackson called this guitar a "soloist".

Comments about Jackson SLATTXMG3-7 Soloist 7-String Electric Guitar:

This guitar is great. I had to choose between this and a Schecter Extreme Omen-7. I've tested out both, and this guitar blows it away. This is by far my favorite guitar to play. The EMG's give it such a great tone. The only downfall of this guitar is that it only comes in 3 finishes. Black, slime green, and silver burst. The black defiantly looks the best. Silver burst almost looks fake, and slime green is just terrible. I would defiantly recommend this to someone.

Good Looking guitar, electronics are great, the craftsmanship was just terrible, the paint job on the Slime Green was just bad, all kinds of dirt, smudges and cracks on the finish, i wanted to like this guitar, but after returning 3 of them, im done with Jackson

Comments about Jackson SLATTXMG3-7 Soloist 7-String Electric Guitar:

I recently upgraded from an Ibanez grga32t to this and i'm very impressed with it. The only bad things are that the action on the low B string is set too low and it causes fret buzz but I can change that on my own. The other problem was the shipping. I ordered this guitar and a few other things over the phone and the lady I spoke with sent the guitar and the strings to Georgia when I said everything must ship to Louisiana. It took me like weeks to get it and I was getting very aggravated but once I got this guitar in my hands all was good. I'd personally recommend this guitar but everyone has their own preferences. You difinitely should check it out!!!!
