OVERVIEW

Burly sound, sleek comfort and the lightning-fast playability.

Packed with powerful sonic punch, the SCX 3H is a rocking machine that's ready to brawl. Burly sound, sleek comfort and the lightning-fast playability Jackson is famous for combine for a high-performance instrument that's an unbeatable value. The stylized take on a classic single cutaway form draws the audience's eye while the powerful sound pummels their ears into submission.

A trio of Jackson High Output humbucking pickups powers this engine of musical mayhem, generating complex tones for pristine cleans or punchy distortion while retaining note clarity. A pair of graphite rods reinforces the ultra-speedy one-piece maple neck with Speed Neck profile for rugged stability against warping or shifting.

The fleet 12-16 compound radius fingerboard is engineered for comfortable chording in the lower register, flattening out as you move up the neck for firing off leads with easy bends without fear of fretting out. The Jackson fully adjustable radius compensated bridge ensures chords stay in tune anywhere on the neck while perfectly matching the fingerboard radius for comfortable playing feel and accurate string action and spacing.

The SCX 3H has all the Jackson eye candy you've come to expect: Jackson branded tuning machines, elegant gold hardware, classic inlays and a scarf-jointed 3x3 AT-1 headstock for optimum break angle at the nut and straight string path for slip-free tuning. An ideal tool for unleashing metal mayhem, the SCX 3H is the latest in Jackson's legendary designs, pushing the guitar performance envelope at a price any wallet can bear.

Comments about Jackson X SERIES SCX 3H Electric Guitar:

Aside from some minor fret buzz (easily fixed by raising the bridge with a flathead screwdriver). This guitar has some amazing tone to it. Blows my last Jackson (Rhodes) out of the water. I highly recommend this guitar to anyone. Its a but smaller and sleeker than Gibson or Epiphones Les Paul, which in my opinion would be great for a child. But its not so small you look awkward holding it if you are an adult.

Comments about Jackson X SERIES SCX 3H Electric Guitar:

I don't have this guitar but I played it at a Guitar Center down in Hollywood Florida (not to be mistaken with Hollywood California) and this tone of all 3 pickups is way too bassy for my liking even the bridge so if you wanna get this guitar I would recommend changing the pickups if you want a little bit brighter tone. I like adding some bass to my tone but that was just too much for some reason, however, this guitar feels great to play and for sweep picking on the higher frets and I have no interest in buying it but will definitely play it again the next time I see it in any music store.

Comments about Jackson X SERIES SCX 3H Electric Guitar:

I was so excited to get this guitar. It was worth the wait. Let's talk about the good stuff first. Out of the box it is a great looking guitar. Then you put it in your hands and wow, what an awesome fast neck. Full access all the way up to the 22 fret comfortably and space to go. Easy to play. It almost feels like a thin 'D' shape neck. The body contour will fit anyone like a glove. Playing live is a breeze. This guitar has some serious tone. I expected I would have to change out the pickups because they're high output and it's an overseas guitar. NOPE! They sound killer. The clean sound through my tube amp was dead on. No distortion and very crisp highs and good bottom punch. Mid up on your amp. Cranked up, this guitar is a beast! I can't believe this guitar can go from Jazz to full bore Metal. Even distorted and cranked up you can hear all the notes ring out on a full bar chord. Incredible light guitar at 6.8 lbs. but it sounds huge. It is not listed in the ad what pickups are in it or what the switches are for. Let me be the first. The pickup selector switch is just that. You have 3 choices, lead, middle, rhythm. No combo. The volume knob is also a push-pull pot. It lets you go from humbucking to single coil pulled up. Tone knob is just that, but a good one. I changed out the strings after testing it thoroughly and decided to see what was under the hood. To my surprise they are equipped with three Eddie Van Halen 'Wolfgang' pickups. No wonder this beast sounds so good. I love this guitar and I will purchase another one for a different pickup config. Now the only bad. It arrived with a broken selector switch (shipping) and the frets were not quite finished. From the twelfth fret up had some file marks. I informed Musicians Friend and they immediately gave me a shipping slip to send it back for a replacement. I fixed it myself. No sense sending this back. It feels and sounds great. Problems were minor. Highly recommended. Get one now while they're still on sale!
